I want fucking everything with Tom on it. No, really, no matter how bad the recording will be or how drunk will he be, i just dont want to miss even a miniscule piece of his charm. Damn.
thanks alot for posting this, I've never heard this one....Is there anyway to get this audio for a CD or some MP3 of this version or something??? I'd want this version for sure.....thanks for the post!!
I wish he had some all of the songs himself on One From the Heart. The versions i have heard him sing on youtube are infinitely superior to Crystal Gayle's renditions.
@Chinaboatman His duets with Crystal Gayle are beautiful because of the juxtaposition between his dirty, gravel voice and her clear, lamenting vocal. He could sing Baa Baa Black Sheep and still make it sound like a masterpiece so there's no contest, but Gayle definitely brings necessary honey to pour all over his bourbon-soaked blues.

If you listen to his early albums. his voice isn't this hoarse. He said in a interview that he would yell into a pillow to intentally make his voice like this.

@beckmerc Tom Waits did. He wrote it for the film One From the Heart, where it was sung by Crystal Gale. This is such a rare and beautiful version.

yeah, I bought the album hoping for this track and was kind of disapointed with Crystal Gayle's version.
