That Fiberglass Polaron got quite some acceleration... happen to know what its top speed was? why dont you build boosters for it to hopefully increase altitude.
Thanks for the videos, when my son is abit older (hes just turned 4 ;)) we will try and make some too.
@ZaanstreekWaterland I think the top speed is about 270Km/h just after burnout. We were actually trying to keep the top speed down to reduce drag and stress on the rocket. With the smaller nozzle we were getting around 20G on launch. We are currently in the process of putting boosters on it as well. :)
You're never too young to start with water rockets. Our youngest was retrieving rockets at 3 :).
@r0ck3tsm0k3 Use a lightweight camera whose lens is at right angle to the camera body. This will make it easier to mount the camera while pointing it in the right direction. You also want to have a decent sized memory card, as you need to turn the camera on and then pack the parachute which can take a while.

Nice flights George. Will you make a fiberglass Acceleron :) ?
Danielastronomo 1 year ago
@Danielastronomo Hi Daniel, Fiberglassing all of Acceleron is the eventual plan. We want to fly it first with only the sustainer reinforced.

Very cool! I love the idea, will have to try it with some HPR rockets. Any advice on what type of camera to try?
