@coolvideoish There where hundreds of virus for macs in the mid-late 90's ...there are thousands if not tens of thousands now, however macs may well be not quite as susceptible to crash as a result of a virus due to the fact that ....there's not alot of point in crashing macs ....virus writers crash pc's at big firms where there are lots of work stations because it makes head-lines .....if you brought down apples california offices for a week or more you'd be huge. ;)

This is very deceptive advertising. The main reason why Window gets the most viruses is due to the large number of users, so hackers attack them because it gives a higher probability of the virus to strike.

Also, the ironic thing is, by pushing Mac advertising and sales, you're essentially inviting hackers to make viruses to target your computer due to a higher likelihood of infection.

It's also quite deceptive in the fact there are already Mac viruses...

i know, shouldnt there be a class action lawsuit for there false advertising that they dont crash or get viruses. fuck one day i was screwing around on a mac at my school. it was a one of the new metal imac. i decided to open up every file there was on the mac and guess what, after like 1 minute the thing decided to freeze up and crash; wierd right? after crashing the Macintosh, it ran a bit slower :-P. funny though it said that they dont crash but this one did and it ran like shit afterwards.

mac had less capability against malware and more chance the system will unable to restore and turn into pernamental damage after the infection. i'm not saying windows is more safe but you can able to fix the infected under the safe mode, bios mode and dos mode. and that is somehow mac had disable it (bios mode) which make it impossible to get rip of malware.

Ya, Do your research. UNIX was written in C. UNIX is also 25 years older than Windows. UNIX and Windows are great OS's, which is why MACs had to switch to UNIX just to keep up.

1. There is no shortage of software for Mac OS X. Even Windows software that hasn't been ported to mac can be run on an emulator easily.

2. Macs are not unpopular. They have millions of users worldwide.

3. Macs are less prone to virus attacks not because they are unpopular, but because the OS can't be exploited.

Anyone who says there is no software for a Mac has never used a Mac, or at least they haven't in the past 8 years. I have a laptop that runs on my windows based server at work and I never encounter a problem. I use Office, AutoCAD, fileshare with all the PCs and printers...basically everything I would use my office PC for. I even remote access into the server from home. So, before making such a stupid comment, try doing some research. Having a computer and an opinion doesn't make you an expert.
