I just took one of my gf's cheapo vibes and attached a broken lock pick to it with a couple hose clamps, thing is super small, quiet and works very, very well.

It can also be dissasembled quickly in certain situations ;-)

I use spray to lube the keyhole...I try to keep the device paralel but it never works....how did u know when to pull it out and turn with ur tension wrench? Is there a sound or u just figured it should be opened because of all the clicks u did?

@Virus59 You have to apply light tension with the tension wrench (the clue's in the name) in a clockwise direction as you use the pick. That way when the pins jiggle upwards, the cylinder moves holding them up. They don't just stay stuck up there because you've hit them up there, they stay up there because the mechanism has rotated because of the light tension on the tension wrench.

@Virus59 Like the other commenter said, you must apply very light tension and reset the pins if it still is not working. What I also wanted to make clear is that the spray lube is working against you. Companys use spray lube to keep people from bumping locks, it's the same principal, the pins do not vibrate as easily when there is moisture present. Hopefully this is a lock you are playing with that is not exposed to the elements, the oil attracts particles which grind away at your lock!

Its almost the bump key technique. By vibrating, the pins in the cylinder oscillate, and adding a little pressure to turn, they adjust their cut with the cylinder so you can turn it and open whatever is locked
