omg! we do the same thing at where it cresendios, we like to make the two notes instead of a qt not then a half note, we make it an 8th note then an 8th rest. just a breathing point but it makes it a HELL of a lot better!!

You know what? I live in a small town of 7500 people, and my sixth grade band got a gold medal in festival and got an invitation to nationals in Ottawa! But we couldn't go because we don't have the money. You know why we didn't get to go to "Boston Symphony Hall"? Because we couldn't! We worked REALLY hard and got up at 4:30 in the morning for THREE hour practices every Saturday, Thursday, Tuesday, and Sunday, not to mention the hour and a half practices every day after school!
