  • i'm only 17 but my dad was telling me how he remembers this day when he was only 7 and he told me to watch the 2 goals and how our fans just completely took over the stadium that day you could even hear the booing to the leeds players at the beginning of the video and you can hear the roar when we scored was soooo much louder than when leeds did, fair play to them tho, we were the underdogs, massively, but we'll always have the most passionate fans forever. blue is the colour. CFC til I die.

  • @stoneyboi13 nice joke there chelsea fans now are posh wankers who never sing plus before they had any money they never won fuck all leeds would of won the game easy but chopper was a dirty prick

  • i think Drogba and Lampard are injured in this time!;-)

  • from a dirty leeds fan, OSGOOD IS GOOD! hate to admit it but over the two games we just couldn't get the better of chelsea.

  • @alframseysrevenge you should've won the replay, you dominated up until one of the best goals in our (so called non-existant) history that brought us right back into the game

  • Rory Delap.. who?

  • I never knew we had Roly Delap back then!

  • some of their matches were x-certificate stuff..they really hated each other. Jack charlton (leeds centre back) had a black book in which he kept the names of all the opposing players he was due to "get" in future games. There were a few chelsea players in that book!......

  • Was this before Abranovich then ?

  • both were super teams....chelsea just had more fighting spirit and flair ..osgood's goal was brilliant.....i was well chuffed (gooner)

  • @bluegreenius Born is the king of stamford bridge !

  • I see Alan Clark , Peter Bonetti , Peter Osgood , I see Johnny Giles too

    history indeed !!

  • Peter Jones did the radio commentary along with Bryon Butler. Got the LP of their commentary and it's fantastic. What a atmosphere. Two great teams of the era going at it hammer and tongs over two games. Epic final..

  • Leeds were invincible back then, for Chelsea to come back from behind in both ganes was a fantastic achievment!

  • No, the commentator is the unmistakeable voice of Kenneth Wostenholme, who late popped up, in his old age, on Channel 4's Italian footie show on Sundays.

  • 2.40 rory delaps dad

  • Peter

jones Is Commentator I Think, Truly A Gentleman.

  • LOOK AT THAT CLASSIC AND WELL SPOKEN COMMENTATOR NOT LIKE TODAY COMON

  • The first cup final I remember... not a bad one eh?

  • Mick jones should have been clattered before he got anywhere near goal.

  • Hutchinson's throw makes Rory Delap's throws look timid by comparison. Ian Hutchinson wasn't called 'The Windmill' for nothing ;-)

  • Don't know why people say we don't have history, THIS is history..

  • @engameg and if they say we don't have a history, then we tell them to fuck off. carefree

  • The more hate is eksposed for CFC, the more my passion for the blues grows!

  • Ah now I see where Stoke have taken their playing style from. They've just updated it these days by including a towel to dry the ball. Much more high tech ;)

  • This is when Chelsea were an English club with English players. Marching on together!! LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS!!!

  • so sad to think that osgood, bremner and houseman (and probably others) Marvin Hinton, are no longer with us, these really were the days my friend

  • I think Marvin Hinton is still alive...

  • @redredreds100 Hinton still alive, but Hutchinson passed away some time back after a long illness. RIP to them all!

  • No one mentions mick jones purposely jumping on bonettis leg at the beginning of the game, Thats why bonettis limping the whole game and can't take goal kicks

  • No -gsshop, the Bonetti-Jones clash was an accident - Mick wasn't a dirty player. On the other hand Chopper Harris admits that he fouled Eddie Gray on purpose and feels that he and not David Webb won the cup for Chelsea.

  • What about Hunter's horror tackle on Hutchinson? Hutch was still limping from it when he headed in the equaliser at Wembley.

Leeds always gave as good as they got (if not more) and Chelsea beat them at their own game.

  • Hunter's 'horror' tackle was just one of many bad challenges that day, but the difference was Harris deliberately went out to cripple Leeds' danger man Eddie Gray & he's admitted it. Despite their reputation Leeds did not sink to Chopper's depths.

  • All's fair in love and war. Like Leeds' targeting of Bonetti after he was nobbled by Jones. Leeds built their reputation on such tactics, so it's rather hollow for them to be crying when someone responded in kind.

  • the only reason chelsea won that match was because chopper harris made eddie gray limp for 85 minutes, he told me that himself, there were a number of (by todays standards) srtaight reds on eddie. he simply destroyed david webb and chelsea in the final at wembly, chopper harris was instructed to stop eddie, thats how games were won in those days, eddie gray was simply the best most skillfull player these isle have produced along with georgie best

  • @1costakis if everyone played like that, then it was a level playing field, I'd say the only reason chelsea beat leeds was, because they scored more goals.

  • Nah, Osgood was better than Gray

  • I WAS THERE

  • It's a free kick,, it's not a throw !! Lol

  • Thankyou chelsea

  • Good times, good times.

  • renegadeexpress1983

Yeah leeds domminated bonnetti was injured, you say chelsea where crap and Leeds still could'nt score Chelsea put the ball where it counts -in the net , maybe your memory is going but did'nt sprake have a crap game at wembley??

  • @renegadeexpress1983 if leeds dominated the game, and still lost, i'd say they were fucking crap!!

  • Recommend anyone who wants to see the dirtiest funniest tackles in the history of football to watch this final replay chelsea leeds 1970. the karate kick on bremmner in the penalty area near the end of the game was the best! david webb was quality in the replay. up the blues!

  • I was there. My only visit to the den of vipers.I still claim to have started that final Chelsea Chelsea chant - but I expect a few others do too. Got home to Euston at 0400h, shared a cab to Kingston and walked over the bridge to Hampton Wick singing `Ee aye adio we won the Cup` at the top of my voice. Wednesday 29th April 1970. Never forget it.

Yes, Jones' goal, looking back, was outstanding. But they were Leeds and how we hated them. Whatever happened to them? Tee hee.

  • I was there too, behind the goal at the Stretford End,as a Manu fan it was great to see Leeds get beat as they knocked us out in the semi...

  • @arbutus27 i would give my nuts 2 go c that game u r a very lucky man!

  • @arbutus27 cant chat shit about leeds when you say 0400h, fuckin faggot

  • @arbutus27 I love that you have that memory, I also have just a great memory, Liverpool Leeds, I was there, I also remember singing Ee I adio we won the cup, you say where are leeds now, I say sadly where are all those teams now, you like me, saw football at it's absolute best, and you saw the greatest players ever to grace the game, Cook, Tambling Osgood, Hunt, Smith St. John, or Bremner, Clark, Lorimer. we were lucky

  • dave webb. did he go to QPR?

  • mick jones fucking brill
