I learned this song from "LOU AND RENE" in seattle washington they were a night club duo. Lou played piano and he had a great vaudeville voice his wife Rene played electric guitar and a drum set simultaneously. I have never seen such a perfectly matched duo.
@MrRohn123 The year it was recorded was 1958. The flip side was "I've Run Out of Tomorrows" I'm glad that you enjoyed it and I appreciate your comments.

Can imagine everyone round the fire.. Thats what my camping holidays of today still consist of.. My father can't remember any lyrics to any song so always fun!
ps: I heard of this song through a guy called "Houston Wells & the marksmen" Early 60s Joe Meek prodjuced lp called "Western style" If you like this sort of song that album is loaded with great material for any future camp fire sing-a-longs you may encounter :D
I didnt realize it was a real song! My Great uncles & my Grandpa used to play this around the campfire, but I always thought they made it up! My Dad always tried to recall the words and never could remember more than the first verse! Wow!
@BrickPa Oh yes, of course. Had had a few cocktails before listening to this and actually have it on my computer and, well, my mind was somewhat in a different place. Forgive me.
I swear I seen her in Bruce Crossing last weekend at the gas station!!!!!

Makes her underwear from the hides of grizzly bears; her fur-lined carpet gets in the way? What a woman! Wished I'd met her when I was there!
