This is just a warning to anyone trying a arm/head replacement:

I had a Samsung 120GB SP1213C that had a head crash, but found a replacement. I had no problem removing the actuator arm from the platter, despite its 3 heads (2 on the top platter, 1 on the bottom). However, opening up the new hard drive, the head arrangement was 1 on top, 2 on the bottom. The manufacture dates were only two months apart! So, it is important that the dates are as close together as possible. Good luck!

It is so true what he said about data recovery estimates - that the data is already recovered BEFORE they give you the estimate.

I worked at a stereo repair shop years ago and we would actually fix the unit and then tell the customer exactly how much it would cost. If they declined, then we would break the unit and return it to them in the same, or similar, condition as it came to us.

Porn does not give you a virus...webmasters on pornsites give you the virus. NEVER download and run ANYTHING until you have virus checked it. Make sure you run a firewall and your virus killer is up to date. Some porn sites will run scripts that will damage your computer. Do some research on preventing active x scripts from running on the system you use. Ie. Win xp.

it makes a clickin noise when it goes back and forth.

at the point 07:10 on the video is what happensi think.

A clicking noise generally means board or head failure, not motor failure.
