He is really hard to control though... you have to be expecting he is going to skid way more. Even if you look up the characters' history on Wikipedia it states that Luigi jumps farther and higher but skids more. I'm now on level 5-4 and I keep dying like halfway through at the same spot, so hopefully this helps!

I acually played through the whole game using Luigi. He jumps alot higher/longer but he needs to build up some speed first otherwise he hardly jumps at all if I remember correctly
