The mix wasn't terribly bad in person for only having ~2 minutes to sound check and being in a gym. The singer and the bassist are both friends of mine i was there for their 2 ~30 minute practices before this. The singer was sick, and he can sing a lot better than that. And trust me, the bassist does know how to play. Quite well. I think he was just a bit bored :). And for two or three of them it was their first times in front of people. When you look at it like that, not bad.
@316Spooky It's not supposed to sound close to Shane's, what is it with people not understanding that that's not the point of a cover. In case you didn't know this song is a cover that Silverstein did and Shane wasn't going to sound exactly like the guy who originally sings it.
Vocalist is decent but doesn't have the range for this song. Guitar volume needs to go down. Vocalist and rythum guitarest dont just stand there get into it like your lead, and bassest. Drums awesome job. A tip mic the amps, and DI the bass and run in through the mains or Main in this case. 1 it will make a better mix 2 you can run eq's on it 3. you can make sure the vocals arnt over powered. 4 the volume on the amps can be lower making it so you can hear your selves better.
