  • @slipspacer88

Actually, their making a game for the ps3. Seriously.

  • HURK!

    *Dies*

  • soooo. when they gonna make an online game for everyone to play?

  • @OniExell There was an Online Game. And it ran for a good while, until the servers shut down for lack of attendency mixed with budget issues.

Without all the history and background for character profiles and supernatural phenomenon happening, the game wouldn't be interesting at all. They obviously cannot "nominate" one player to act as "The Hero", and everybody else play an NPC. So for equality and interest, an MMORPG of .Hack would be terrible.

  • @RebornAleph

I wouldn't mind it just being a simple mmorpg like Everquest, Guild Wars or World of War craft. But thank you for letting me know.

  • @RebornAleph and the fact i would think would be far to generic

  • @slipspacer88 I agree.

  • @RebornAleph Unless they create something like Cubia/Aida virus. That'll be way cool. Then again, it'll involves a lot of coma cases which the game has to shut down... again....

    THEN again, I won't mind giving it a shot coz it's a [dot]hack based game >D

  • @YuanCrossXIII It's very much the "DragonBall MMORPG" discussion all over again with this one. It would have to involve some players being superior to everyone else, which in the longrun creates a lot of animosity between the company and its consumers. Players have to have equal rights as consumers. It's either accessible to everyone, or nobody. And that would pretty much kill the novelty of it, since Data Drain was only "cool" because only you could do it.

  • @RebornAleph Aren't all MMORPG like that? O_o It'll only be 'fair' if ALL players have the same level, same status, same xxxxx... But then, it'll be damn BORING.

My point is, it's all up to the players'/consumer's view. IF let's say the company wanna 'spice things up', held a special event for one to be chosen as the 'Hero'. They can even make the gaming 'LIVE' to make thing fair-judged-able. when the winner is 'chosen', they can't say it's unfair coz the whole world was watching.

  • @YuanCrossXIII Doesn't really matter in the long run. The Data Drain would still be too much of a gap.

Comparing it to Player Level is kind of useless, considering only one could have it, whereas there IS a level cap, and eventually, they WILL all reach it.

  • @OniExell they did in japan years ago, failed miserably

  • @slipspacer88 yeah, i got that from the other guys reply, thanks

  • @slipspacer88 You talking about //FRAGMENT? It definitely didn't fail, they ended up extending the service another couple months further than they wanted due to it's popularity. The original plan for the game never expected it to go longer than a year, but so many people played they decided to keep going a little longer.

  • @PalmtopPanda so they knew it would fail and quit early, still failed, only reason is could haev been popular is cuz it was .hack//, relied on the fan factor and quit before it wore off to say it was a success

  • we need the game!!!

  • @gwbenyloch would be nice for another .hack game series, but would be kind of hard though, since at the end of G.U. they got rid off the enemy for good

  • OMFG WAY KEWL WAY KEWL FINALLY

  • Is this in the World R:X or something later?

  • why do they everytime looks like kite....

  • CGI.....
