I congratulate you for trying to improve on the piano part, but in my opinion, you were trying to do too many fancy things like the trills to an excess. It sounded much better simplified. Also, I've never really had advanced music lessons, but your timing seemed to be off, and you used too many chords where there was just a baseline. My suggestion would be to incorporate the accordion or bass into your transcription.

at least it's constructive, but everything you just said was complete B.S. There weren't ANY trills in it, i was just using rubato, just like the original, and i only played chords to keep the beat and when the harmony changed. Thank you though...

He's not being excessive. Because theres no singing in his cover, he had to not only play the piano melodies but also the singing melodies. Otherwise, it would sound too empty.
