Here's an interesting exercise...try to think of an issue where Obama fought for MORE freedom (less government) for the individual American. I can only think of two issues where Obama is fighting for less government...border protection against illegal government and the prison at "Gitmo" In both cases those aren't citizens he is trying to protect.

Obviously, they do, since your knee jerk response was about "blame" rather than about the message which was - to stop using one crisis to pass legislation that has little, if nothing, to do with solving the current problem. Crippled economy and loss of 3 million + jobs = massive health care overhaul? Oil spewing from an accident = cap and trade and moratorium, which not only cripples 37% of our energy sources, but more job loss. That's the point. Not who is to blame for any of the disasters.
