  • i use to LOVE this song. I cant find it on Itunes or anywhere.

  • @PepsiCreek. It is a fact. The Pia Zadora video was shot first. It may have been released later (but I don't think was...I did work at the company that produced it). However Fincher saved the set, and used it for Express Yourself.

  • Junk.

  • express yourself first came out in may 1989, this video came later in november 1989. and i was really shocked that the whole thing was copied from madonna's vintage video hit.

  • this MUST HAVE BEEN directed by DAVID FINCHER....

madonna's ex boyfriend is in it too!

  • This was directed by David Fincher. He kept the set and used it for his next project - which was Madonna's "Express Yourself".

  • its just an ok song....

  • Produced by the great NARADA MICHAEL WALDEN

  • @JoeFanNarada this sounds like jam and lewis

  • SLICK PRODUCTION! Just a great song to jam to. Always requested in the day....AHHHH The Bourbon Pub in New Orleans :)

  • This song PACKED my dance floors at Scorpio and TAGS. Absolutely love it!! Thanks for posting.

  • @fairfax1960 My pleasure. Where were Scorpio and Tags?

  • Charlotte, NC. TAGS is gone now but Scorpio is still packing them in (though with a much younger crowd-I'm 49.)

  • Cool!

  • It was probably just the rap the got them.

  • David fincher DID direct this

  • Said who?

  • who knows--it has so many madonna "express yourself" moments in it... sorry

  • This was a very passionate song, and could really have put Pia Zadora into high orbit.

But the theme and focus of this video was all wrong. It was creepy, stereotypical, cheesy, and focused in the wrong perspective. In other words, it was done upside-down and backwards.

Thus, that's why this song (and video) are now gone and forgotten.

  • I really love this song, but I've never heard this version before. This version is not bad ,but I remember seeing the video of the Clivilles & Cole mix in the clubs back in 1989, which is much better.
