From what I've seen from an innovator, I will never buy one. If you WANT an expensive heli that's WORTH IT, go for a GAUI hurricane, or stick with Align. You can get a Align 450 Pro Super Combo for 414 with free shipping if you know where to shop.

That thing sounded like it was way out of trim. You shouldn't have that much blade chop with out big pitch throws. I built a t-rex clone from scratch and learned the hard way and it taught me alot about these things. One most important lesson that I learned. A heli really doesn't want to fly it wants to me on the ground in pieces
please return the heli where you bought it from,there have been too many to count defective innovator helicopters, i myself think they are a bunch of junk go with the exceedcrc blueray or the exi 450 they have proven very good for alot of heli pilots good luck
I think it may be due to a cheap gyro. some thing as light a training gear would not cause that problem ,even a cheep 50 dollar honey bey can fly with training gear. quit well I mite add.
mode for sure? I got oscillation when flying by mistake with INDOOR mode in some crosswind. It seemed to me that the oscillation in my case was caused by too aggressive gyro control, which was trying to undo the effect of a sudden crosswind. Luckily, I managed to take the heli down before blade strike.
BTW: Absolutely same KIND of crash here, it looked absolutely the same way as your crash in yor Video and I was absolutely unable to react in any way (like you, I guess...)
In a german speaking forum they mention they could avoid that same problem by butting up the rpm to 1900 (or even 2000 while telling the set up they use wooden blades) and removing the training gear. Maybe this helps you too - good luck!
Same problem here, after three minutes crashed (I never used a landing gear) .
After repairing, one battery long hovered (didn't dare more) correctly. Second flight after about two minutes I realized that pitch began blocking, no more movements possible...
Yes, my english may be bad, my heli flying (450SE V2, 500ESP, 600 ESP ...) usually is better, believe me... this helicopter is NOT worth the money, better look for an ALIGN or even Walkera...

Well I found tail rudder starts playing up. I can't find solution apart moving ruder left and right, then it seems OK

you need to run this machine in "Mode1", right side top switch should be upwards, I believe in this video you'r flying in "Mode 0".
try this & upload another video.

Get rid of the training gear! Oscillation (resonance) caused the blade strike. The Innovator is a very stable bird, just don't modify it.
