i'd say, that peaking (focus assist) is rubbish on this camcorder - everything is peaked, so there's not much help. also extended zomm for focus assist isn very acuurate.
sensitivity of the focus ring is absourd - you can travel fom 1m focus to infinity within a flick move. and push auto button also does crazy things.
so.. i'm not impressed :D (but maybe thats because i've been using a bit more pro-like camcorders before)
@kalfis81 you are absolutely right, ive been using the NX5 at another job for quite some time now and the focus sensitivity is horrible as well, i really hate the image quality on the NX5 aswell, it looks totally shit for a 4k$ camcorder, sub 5k$ camcorders from sony maybe look professional but they are definitely not worth the money
@Theyoghurt2 for our tv needs (720x576 dv pal) still the best is dsr 250 - perfect viewfinder, good manual focus and peaking etc. ok, performance at dark conditions isn't good. ax 2000e is better coz cmos sensor. but focus freaks me out. even dsr 170p has better reactions on focus ring. not to mentin hvr 270 with defoult lens - manual focus mode - peaking is great and focal length measurements right.
