@VosDaan There's a way to set your keys. But I think the default is the keypad 0 and . to change your destination. That's the only way people will board if the destination is signed up.
@trixtor201 I live in Montreal, we have similar buses to this, but not exactly. I see though that New York is starting to get buses like Montreal now though. (NovaLFS Artics). They aren't in the game though. The game you can find on the aerosoft website.

Buses are fun, and computers are fun, it was just a matter of time before they came out with a decent game that let's you use your imagination and skill to drive a virtual bus. @deadman568 Press the door open button. It depends on what key you assigned to it. I use 1 to open the door and 2 to close the door, and 3 and 4 to control the back doors.

Pull up to the start of a route, get out of the bus and click on the route sign and accept a departure, then change your destination to that route, finally pull up to the people waiting and let them on board. It should work after that. Some of the keys, you need to program in manually, since the default keys aren't always set.

@hazza19664 When I first played it, I didn't know, but after a few tries, I figured out route. All of the stops are pretty much on the one street, the end of the line is just a loop around the block. And you can't stray too far from the route, there are invisible barriers in the street preventing you from going any further.
@htwhls101carz I hope someone designs some more buses for this game, and more North American routes, it would be great to enjoy this game once again, since I've done the New York line over a 100 times already. Maybe we can look forward to City Bus Simulator 2011, and it include a real bus driver license in the box that's activated upon completion of the training missions? ;)
In the game you can here sirens a lot, but do you actually see and emergency vehicles? If you did would you get a penalty if you didn't move out the way of them?
@lukey123MW No emergency vehicles, and no penalty for not moving out of the way, and no real penalty for going through red lights either, except for those flashes of the red light camera, which do nothing... Not even a report when you finish your route, no statistics on your driving ability, or schedule keeping. It would make replaying the game all the more interesting.
@mccrudden150 You have to hover your mouse over the timetable until the mouse cursor changes, and then press the button on the keyboard that you have assigned for the "OK" command. It's not automatically assigned for some reason, so you need to set up the keys for this command.

@famouseal Check out the Dell website, they have pretty decent discount computers, most of them would be able to run this simulator pretty well. It depends on the video card too, so if you want to pay $500 for a PC then look to pay about $150 - $250 for a decent video card to go with it.
@sandstone1231 The version that I have didn't have the map yet. But after updating it to the latest version there is a map, when you press the DEL key, (or whatever key you assign to it).
@sikilaughter yes, but it needs one that's pretty strong. A dual core processor a must, with atleast 2.2 or higher Ghz, otherwise you'll start to notice lagging when playing.
Unfortunately you can continuously speed and fly through red lights all day, and nothing will affect the outcome of the game. I had hoped that there was some sort of method to encourage you to improve your driving skill or something, but you just drive up and down the same route, and after a few passes, you noticed that the AI is also pretty predictable as well. I'd love to see some sort of score or evaluation, maybe in the next version?
you can crash, but there is no damage, and you can run over people, but they just go through your bus, so you see their head when you run over them. No collision detection... It's not really meant for that. Driving a bus in GTA4 is still the better solution if you want to hit and run.
You have to go to assign keys, since the game doesn't do it for you by default. And then give a key for the destination sign, I use some of the num lock keys for those features, because there are close to 100 various functions you have to manually assign in order to play the game.
It's called City Bus Simulator 2010. I don't know of any sites that you can download it from, besides the original site, but you can always search on the net and I'm sure there will be a link available somewhere, not sure if they'll all work though.
There's a new route, but it's streets in Germany it appears, it'll should be out shortly. There is an editor however, so I'm sure there will be some nice downloadable content coming up shortly with all sorts of routes and buses. This game can only get better as time passes!
GOT THE GAME WORKING FINALY YAY!!. I CANT GET UPDATE 1.4.1 THOUGH i enter in my serial agen cause u need to and says already registered. When new buses come out will you need the v1.4.1 to beable to download them. And when are new buses coming out and that route your speaking of.?
I think you need to reregister the game to update to 1.4.1 because too many people have the universal serial numbers they changed them. And the new routes aren't out yet I don't think. It'll say on the official site when they do release them, but they'll probably need the 1.4.1 update, or you might even have to buy the game again to play the new routes.

Do you wait a long time, I've noticed it takes as much as 5 minutes for my load screen to go away and the game to start. Does your computer meet the minimum system requirements? Also if you have a hacked version maybe they put code in the software to block the game from starting.
Yeah, only in New York, and only 1 route! They're planning on making a volume two with a route in Germany, but nothing else planned for New York. So the route in this video is the only route you can drive. There are various scenarios where you can detour to the next street over and come back, but that's about it. It's fun, but after a while doing the same route you lose interest...
The game is $40-50, you can search online I suppose if you want it free, passengers are German because it's a German game. They made an English translation, but I don't know where to find it.
I thought the same thing while I was walking down the street. I keep pressing the key to tag the walls with the Half-Life logo like in Counter-Strike.
@youarenotverysmart did you get a really good video card with it, or are you using the one that came standard with the pc? The one that came with my new PC was an Intel Integrated video card and it didn't work, but as soon as I put in a good one it started to work for me.

For some reason the keys aren't automatically assigned when you install the game, so you need to assign the keys for each action you perform.

Do you wait a long time, I've noticed it takes as much as 5 minutes for my load screen to go away and the game to start. Does your computer meet the minimum system requirements? Also if you have a hacked version maybe they put code in the software to block the game from starting.

Yeah, only in New York, and only 1 route! They're planning on making a volume two with a route in Germany, but nothing else planned for New York. So the route in this video is the only route you can drive. There are various scenarios where you can detour to the next street over and come back, but that's about it. It's fun, but after a while doing the same route you lose interest...

The game is $40-50, you can search online I suppose if you want it free, passengers are German because it's a German game. They made an English translation, but I don't know where to find it.

@youarenotverysmart did you get a really good video card with it, or are you using the one that came standard with the pc? The one that came with my new PC was an Intel Integrated video card and it didn't work, but as soon as I put in a good one it started to work for me.
