It seems this experiment, while conclusively proving fire can weaken and cause the failure of load bearing steel; still predicts a collapse that would have much slower (and far less symetrical) than the one we witnessed.

But how does this prove that 50,000 gallons of fuel can cause a structure that had 100,000 tons of steel to collapse as cleanly as explosives and thermite would cause it to collapse? This experiment should have used 1/2 gallon of jet fuel, not 700. (50,000 gal/ 100,000 tons of steel = 0.5 gal / 1 ton of steel)

The weakest part of the 9/11 story regarding the WTC collapses is building 7. 7 was not hit by an airplane, had relatively small fires, but it collapsed just like a controlled demolition (CD). FEMA admitted that its theory of the 7 collapse had a low probability of occurring, NIST did not even mention 7 in its report. If it is not widely acknowledged that the 7 collapse was from a CD, it would be pointless to continue setting forth evidence that the twin towers fell from a CD.

It seems this experiment, while conclusively proving fire can weaken and cause the failure of load bearing steel; still predicts a collapse that would have much slower (and far less symetrical) than the one we witnessed.

coordinating the two. They didn't find anything either.

Interesting proof. This proves that 700 gallons of jet fuel can weaken (not turn to molten metal) one ton of steel. But how does this prove that 50,000 gallons of fuel can cause a structure that had 100,000 tons of steel to collapse as cleanly as explosives and thermite would cause it to collapse? This experiment should have used 1/2 gallon of jet fuel, not 700. (50,000 gal/ 100,000 tons of steel = 0.5 gal / 1 ton of steel)

@HopyHop1 YOu don't have to weaken 100,000 tons of steel you you only need to weaken enough to cause them to collapse. I take it the 100,000 tons of steel you are talking about is the total weight of the building? When you are doing a controlled demolition, you don't blow every column, you blow some and gravity does the rest.
