He'd slagged off the PDC upto this tornament, in the pre match interview and in the half time break so the crowd gave back what he had given to them. I was in the crowd at this and it was the only post match interview they showed in the arena all afternoon and slagged off the crowd in that so got more boos

Is hankey good enough to play PDC ? YES he is but he would be an average PDC player not a top 1. He has won BDO titles so that makes him good enough to be a top PDC player ? I beat hankey in my local about 2 years ago when he had a break and then went on to win the lakeside.He was good entertainment and gave as much as he got and without characters like him the sport would not be half as good
I was sat on the balcony, left of the stage. Ted said he expected the booing If that was the case, did he not think that interacting with the crowd may have helped? Not once did he ackowledge them, just a look of complete disdain. Had he made an effort he may have won them over, Ted was looking for this. As for the "miss" heckler, security promptly threw her out, she appeared to be sat directly below us. Shouting out while going for the double is out of order, but Ted did himself no favours.

I love how people are saying that the PDC is all about taylor and someone needs to show him he aint the only good dart player on eproblem no one can beat him when it matters he is that good and will be for a long time, Phil dedicates his life to the sport and deserves to be where he is. To be fair to Hankey, darts requires intense concentration and is played in a pub atmosphere. Fine if you're in a pub, but not so much if you're trying to make a living off of it.
He may have been a bit heavy-handed with it, and maybe he shouldn't have risen to the bait, but really, what did he do so wrong? He was being heckled while trying to hit an important checkout, and a request for quiet gets boos. Why is that okay?

There is nothing wrong with telling them to shut up, but there is no need for that language, he still won the point. It doesn't take a lip reader to realise what he saying. I cannot stand Hankey. Fair enough if you want to be seen as the "bad boy", or in his case the vampire, yes he looks like one he doesnt want people to like him and wants a reaction from the crowd, but he is rude, arrogant and too much of an attitude. Hankey couldnt deal with a little bit of crowd noise because he comes from the BDO that has no atmosphere. The PDC is the only organisation in darts and the BDO should just accept the PDC buy out offer, for the good of darts

I beat hankey in my local about 2 years ago when he had a break and then went on to win the lakeside.He was good entertainment and gave as much as he got and without characters like him the sport would not be half as good

I was sat on the balcony, left of the stage. Ted said he expected the booing If that was the case, did he not think that interacting with the crowd may have helped? Not once did he ackowledge them, just a look of complete disdain. Had he made an effort he may have won them over, Ted was looking for this. As for the "miss" heckler, security promptly threw her out, she appeared to be sat directly below us. Shouting out while going for the double is out of order, but Ted did himself no favours.

Ted told the twats straight. Way to go son. Nobody deserves that. The order was disgusting. The PDC has only recently overtaken the BDO on standard due to the fact that most have gone over now. Back in 2000 when Ted won his first title with a 6-0drubbing over Baxter,Taylorwas winning the PDCnumerous times against hasbeen opposition. PERIOD. The PDC is now great on sheer standard while The BDO is still producing awesome talent and always will. Better order in The BDO unlike this crap. Sort it out

You obviously haven't watched proper darts before, the BDO has always been inferior since the split. BDO 'world chumpion' averages 74, the real world champion averaging 105 consistently! The only way Hankey would give Taylor a game is if Taylor only used 2 darts per throw and even then i wouldn't bet against the power. You're a prick.
