This is a good exercise to practice scale and strengthen left hand.

May i suggest to play it with a sweeping technique reagarding the right hand ?Anyway, this is cool to show this technique.

Yes this is just a base exercise feel free to experiment with it, it is great for legato but also a great alternate picking exercise too. Sweeping doesn't really work unless you can play this at blistering speed but by all means have a go!
