@balf1111117373 :) Yes it is old news, the video was uploaded about a year ago. And no I don't even own a mobile phone, they always tend to disturb me when I don't want to be contacted. It also emans they can't track me, if I'm not using my computer. As for the mandatory fingerprinting, they have plans to get all our dna (for our passport) in the future. And I don't consider DNA samples to be safe either, when cases come to court. :) Peace & Friendly greetings from the Netherlands.

Mandatory fingerprinting for passports also began in Finland (where I live) last year. When officials announced plans to collect these biometric data, they said they would not be used for any other purpose. That was a year ago. Today the news reported that the Finnish police wants access to the data, erupting a huge debate on electronic privacy. Personally I think it was clear from the beginning that the new passport regulations are only a means to harvest biometrics.

@mulberrybear Oh yes, be sure they (government and police) will go and harvest our biometrics.. And even DNA samples are not safe. Just read about a North Carolina Crime Lab which Buried Blood Evidence (DNA) in Hundreds of Criminal Cases. I guess your Finnish passports also contain RFID chips? What is the social benefit of rfid chips? They're hacked within an hour..

I don't find it beautiful to see that all things might eventually be done with this rfid chip.. If it contains data like your bank account, people might have a hard time when their chip is turned off.

freedom? There's no freedom when those chips become mandatory, just like the fingerprinting..

I would love to see the registration system stay in the way it was in the 20 years before..

Fingerprints are private property. If they want fingerprint then charge them for it. Mandatory probably doesnt mean you have to under legal law. Just dont consent.

yep.. If we don't give our fingerprints we won't get a passport or id-card.. And if you walk the Dutch streets without your ID card, you can even end up in jail.. But you would certainly get a ticket of about 50 euro's..

And our Dutch government even goes a step further, by placing these fingerprints in a central database, accessible by police.. And this should become European law at some point, every EU citizen will have to do it. :(

I'm truly surprised that you will give up your god given right to live your life as a free human being and hand it over to a bunch of bankers who can turn that chip on and of when they want. You can still glue your fingertips and get a passport for one year. At least, that was what the governments door-to-door propaganda flyer said.

Im with you all the way, had to stop them fingerprinting my 13 year old daughter at school a few weeks ago, she is the only one out of 2000 kids who did'nt have it done!!! The rest are Sheeple im afraid :-(

The electronic child file, it will contain the most sensitive data about all our newborn babies, untill the age of 18.. It will contain all kinds of data related to the child's body.. Relating to pubic hair growth/colour..  You really can't imagine what they want to keep track off..

It is just disgusting already to collect the fingerprints in the first place, and to collect the digtial facial scan. Their it already should stop. For example facial scan is used to find you with camera's on the street.

but.......i've read that they will give you a 12 month passport, if for some reason you can't give your finger prints. reasons can be injuries, or things like heavy paint stains.

i think i desperately need to go glue some things with superglue the day before i apply for my new passport. seriously!!
