another thing about these gensets, the UP dosen't want thier own machanics to work on them. We don't have any schematics or manuals to tell us what to fix or why it broke.
man, I still prefer the sound and smell of the 645-E3, the most awesome engine ever produced,....oh, and another thing, i'm glad that EMD/GE are going back to the old style ARR control stand, instead of these sissy looking european control desks.
What they don't tell you is that they put out low emissions when they're brand new. Go look at the ones that are two to four years old with 400,000 miles on them, then look at how much more exhaust is coming out of the stack then when they were new.
That large box makes that MP15ac look like poo!
