I think they could have stretched that ending just a little longer. Notice how Satch walked away from any kind of competitive head cutting thing and jammed with the bassist after breakin off a piece like "son, u sure you want some of this"? lol.

This is sweet. Is that Vernon Reid playing rhythm? This sounds so good and funky.

For anyone who is a Prince fan, Satriani's tone on this sounds very very close to some of Prince's more recent recordings using a strat. i.e. "guitar" and his performance on "while my guitar gently...etc.

It's more than the soldano amp, strat. It's that phat rounded tone. Very cool.

people is talking bullshit here, Hendrix was the one who inspired a lot of these so caller "Shredders" around, and among them, I think Satch ins one of the few who can come closer to blues it is true that he lacks a little bit of feeling, bet he sure can blues much more better than Vai, Malmsteem, Petrucci, Gilbert, Reid among other, for me one guitarrist who somehow retains that "Hendrix" feeling, tone and vibe, could be John Frusciante ex RHCP, his tone is surely retro, and very "Hendrixian"

Regardless what ANYBODY thinks. Jimi would absolutely dig Joe's playing. Joe would never in a million years say that he even comes close to Hendrix's playing. But let's be honest, he come real close and is a lot cleaner in his technique. Jimi was THE man in his time but his time has passed. Jimi was never one to keep looking back. He always wanted to move forward. Oh yeah, Joe plays Hendrix WAAYY better than Vernon Reid. Talk about killing a Hendrix tune. That's Vernon, not Joe.
