ive always seen asparagus on tv here and there; today i finally saw it in my local market &finally bought some! ive never had any, so im gonna try them steamed for dinner:)!
My fave veg!! I use a special asparagus pot. You stand them upright in it and the stalks are simmered but the tips are steamed. Great tip for cutting off the ends!
Try them wrapped in parma ham (prosciutto?) brushed with butter and roasted for 5 minutes.
One recommendation, the top part of the asparagus cooks quicker than the bottom part, its better to cook them in boiling water, put them sort of like 'stand-up', so the bottom part is in direct contact with the water, while the top part part y simply cooked by the vapour. I think its better because its evenly cooked and it's more healthy.

@kokafones Oh man, really? Someone has misinformed you. The tips are the most nutrient-dense and tastiest part of the asparagus. People tend to cut the other ends off because the very ends are usually too fibrous to be enjoyed.
