i shoot IDPA and still think this video is funny. i do enjoy shooting IDPA and believe it helps a lot more than shooting at stationary paper targets if you ever need to draw.

It is pretty funny, but too much of it is based on making fun rules that are misstated or misunderstood, which makes it less funny for those who do understand them; comes across as more of a bash than an insider's lampoon.

but lets also remember the objective ot IDPA is to simluate the STRESS of a real-world scenario....not nessicarily the exact scenario. For those looking for less rules and more shooting, IPSC is another option.

@WesMerc That is a local range rule not an IDPA rule. You won't find that in the IDPA rulebook.

@WesMerc If you bothered to get you head out of your ass you probably would have learned that this is not an IDPA rule but a club rule. There are quite a few ranges that have that rule (I've shot in a few) and is usually for safety reasons. If someone accidentally launches a round over their berm, it usually ends up in populated areas. There aren't very many clubs that have a mountain or a lot of land between them and civilization.
