Dude, psychiatrists don't even give out the side effects when they write scripts. and then when you're in their office complaining of Akathisia, debilitating muscle pain and... joint problems, they ask "why do you think that is." to which we say, "uh...i did some research." to which they reply, "Oh! we need to get you off this! Here, we'll write you a script for this!" it's a joke. med free. and the pdocs think your "better" because of the pills. Fkn morons !!!!
I am going to kill a psychatrists, first i will make the people who did this to me into my fucking slaves they will be eating my fucking shit those fuckers, so beware .... in this one mental hospital they raped this boy, i am not sure if he died or not I don't think he died i think he is in a home of some sort don't ask me how i know this or i might have to kill you
@SuperDelta000 My mom didn't kill herself 17 years ago because her psychiatrist helped her. Now I get good grades and I have a social life thanks to my psychiatrist.
@InvisibleRefugee2 I don't disagree that these conditions exist. But not like Psych's would have you believe. And it's not so much an imbalance in the brain. It's your brain reacting to your bodies signals and messages. If you had a lot of Acid, your body goes into overdrive and your hormones start to go nuts, then your brain reacts with mixed signals. The same thing can happen to a person with a serious fever, or virus.
My friend had Malaria before even examining him physically he was 'Bipolar'
In fact, i know that im even more open minded than you. It's just that I demand realiable PROOF. I do belive the goverment had some kind of involment on 9/11 (BTW i dont live in the USA, i live far away) but i have seen "definite claims" that proofs it was hydrogen bombs, thermobaric devices, thermite, and so on. It's just that some people like to found their claims on mere fantasy.
So while I am not "anti-psychiatry" because it helps some people live better lives for them... I think when the programmed treatment Nazis who justifiably hate the scientology approach which is the polar opposite... I think they put themselves in the same category as the scientologists when they do not acknowledge those who improved using alternatives and claim they are in denial because drugs and therapy didn't help...
when I was a kid I was raped by a neighbor after being dx'd as "hyperactive" and manic and I freaked out and was locked in a nut ward, strapped to a table for a week until I was willing to take Depakote... had 3 experiences of workers slamming my face into the pavement for saying "Fuck You" and although my moods tend to get elevated in the summer, blaring the ipod when the voices act up works better than any drug.
and objectively there is a percentage of people who's lives are better because of psychiatry and good for them and who helped them... but even as I say that, therapists and so called recovered drugged DSM drones do not acknowledge that it doesn't help everyone and are mean and nasty toward you when you describe what helped and that is rude IMHO. They are on a high horse about their being a survivor and expect to be babied even when it is their trauma but are vile when it is about psych..
@HerrSpieldose Music is a BIG help in my life, and likely in a lot of peoples. It's the only place a person can truly drift off to escape the pain... In my opinion.
the only part about the video that i didn't like, was that it said 10% of psychs admit to sexually abusing their patients. exactly what context do you mean this in. also, i have had a few female psychiatrists whom i wish would have touched my special places. but the one i have now, she is an ugly nazi looking shrink....
I think the idea is that most people prescribed psych drug don't need them to begin with. Not that many years ago homosexuality was considered a mental illness. why was it' s staus changed? it was not because the brain chemistry changed in those people, but the attitudes about that behavior changed. How many of those people were drugged, shocked or submitted to psycho-surgery to live a "healthy and productive" life?
People seem to forget, yes psychiatry is highly inaccurate, but there are many people that have been helped by these drugs. I have seen peoples depression clear up once they are on an anti-depressant. yes, these chemical inbalances have not been proven, but that is because psych research is only in it's infancy.
ok then i'll start a good arguement...lmfao....where is your ( the video maker's) solid proof and evidence supporting this.........????????.... i reckon all those who are parts of groups like these are actually mentally ill themselves otherwise they wouldn't show such an interest in the proffesion.........lol
@InvisibleRefugee2 True point. One of the biggest frauds in this country is that a person's emotional or mental suffering is rooted in biology. Quite frankly, you cannot use physical means to "treat" a person's non-physical problem.
I agree, people should not stay in a psych ward too long. And the ideal for is for people to eventually go off meds. (Unless they're corrupt doctors, which unfortunately there are a lot of. ALL types of doctors are corrupt tho, not just psychiatrists.) Antipsychotics are really the worst of the drugs, but there's research being done to get rid of side effects. And other meds really don't have too many harmful side effects.
Bahahaha! Chemical lobotomy?? As if drugs could sever the frontal lobe...lol. Psych meds may have unpleasant side effects sometimes, but so do all meds so that argument is invalid. And while meds aren't a permanent solution to mental illness, they get people to a place where they can receive proper treatment. Have you ever dealt with a psychotic? Believe me, they need the meds. How else do they know reality from not?
@WickedWitchElphaba And a Chemical Lobotomy is not the same as the original sort of lobotomy. It's a caused by a Neuroleptic... all neuroleptics cause 'chemical lobotomies' with no specific therapeutic effect on any symptoms or problems. Their main impact is to subdue the individual. They also physically paralyze the body, acting as a chemical straightjacket. Additionally, these drugs are the cause of a plague of brain damage effecting up to half or more of long-term patients.
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Ah, you're talking of the effects of the older anti-psychotics, such as thorazine, yes? That drug was very popular until about the late '80s-early '90s.
However, those types of anti-psychotics are only prescribed as a last resort in treating schizophrenia. And personally, if I were a doctor, I'm not sure I would use it even then.
I find clorpromacine and levomepromazine quite useful for patients with highly agresive behaviour for a max of 2-3 days... also is a very good and cheap option for treating chemoterapy nauseas or cocaine intoxication. Im not a shrink, BTW.
Umm...no. I didn't receive treatment until my symptoms had gotten so out of control I could barely function. And it was my psychiatrist who helped me out. He put me on prozac and we did a lot psychotherapy. I'm much better now, and my symptoms have pretty much disappeared. I've yet to see how my doctor has created more suffering in my life, so unless you have a legitmate example, I'm afraid your argument is extremely fallible.
@WickedWitchElphaba Take your mind altering chemicals as prescribed you loon. Soon those drugs will destroy your whole CNS and shut down your organs. You will NEVER be bale to get off your psychiatric candies. Enjoy life! Bahahaha.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@ Draziom203 I've been on prozac for three years now, and definately have never had a problem with it. And I will enjoy life, because therapy and yes, my meds, allow me to do so. You're argument is pretty much null-and-void anyways, as a.) you use crude insults and b.) you have no argument to back yourself up. You want proof of mental illness? Look at the statistics on any reputable website. And where do you get your facts? The church of scientology? Spew that bullshit somewhere else.
@WickedWitchElphaba Your drugs will lose their effect and u will need dose increase. Your meds will create diseases downstream and your whole body will shutdown as u age. It will decrease 20 years of ur life. You speak nonsense with no facts to back ur laughable claims mental illness exists. You can keep thinking your fantasies. Go spew ur NIMH propaganda to ur mother. Nobody wants to hear ur ignorance.
And no one wants to see your bad grammar. You claim nonsensical ideas with absolutely no proof. NIMH is a reputable organization funded by the gov't and the National Institute of Health. I'm going to trust that over some ridiculous youtube freak anyday. Mental illness is real, and you can go ahead and believe whatever you want, but that doesn't change fact.
@WickedWitchElphaba pot calling ketto. show me proof psychiatry is science. prove it. your all yap n no sap. NIMH is a fraud funded by pharma with marketing ploys. ur a sucker for beliving in psychiatric fraud. ur an ignorant fool just by the way u talk u expose urself as a loser. mental illness doesnt exist. show me proof it does. prove it. your all talk and show no proof to back ur laughable claims. u got raped by many people on here and ur getting it by me now. bitch boi.
No, I'm an intelligent person because I don't resort to pathetic internet grammar. You say you want proof? Well then, if mental illness is fake, explain to me why I've lived with depersonalization for three years now? Explain to me schizophrenia, depression, and numerous other mental disorders. The thing is, you can't without admitting that there is something wrong with that persons mind. The difference between psychiatry and you is that we try to help these people without stigmatizing them.
@WickedWitchElphaba depersonalization is a symptom not a disease/disorder. Emotional symptoms aren't
diseases/disorders as you state. There's no such thing as "mental disorders". They don't exist, have no pathology behind them. They are a fraud. The mind isnt matter. Prove to me so called "mental illness" is a real disease like cancer and that a "chemical imbalance" is the cause of all so called "mental illnesses". I know you cant prove this to me. Prove it. You speak like an ignorant idiot.
You still haven't explained to me schizophrenia if mental illnesses do not exist. And of course the mind is matter, the brain is physical organ. Duh. You want proof? PET scans consistently show biological differences in schizophrenic brains than in healthy brains. Obviously the psyche and the brain are intertwined, as the psyche can only exist because of the biological organ. And trust me, you sound more ignorant than I do at this point.
Most people develop schizophrenia upon entering college...do you hear youself? Where the hell did you get that crap? That's a ridiculous myth, however mental illness itself is not. You've already proven yourself an ignorent fool, so don't bother getting involved.
When did I ever say you had schizophrenic symptoms? Besides, schizophrenia does not make one stupid. I've never said that and I never will. I said you're argument in your first post was stupid, because, well, it is. Brain damage does not equal stupidity.
@IronicallyVague I wouldn't feed this troll called "WickedWitchElphaba". This person is all stoned on psychiatric toxins and believes what he/she says. Its a waste of time to prove this idiot that "mental illness" is a fraud to this person. Best bet is to ignore this person.
@WickedWitchElphaba Schizophrenia doesn't exist. Show me the biological medical evidence it does. Where is the proof?. The mind is matter?. Your one short of a 6 pack. PET scans show nothing of ANY so called "mental illness". You know nothing and sound stupid. You cant prove anything that so called "mental illness" exists. mind isn't matter moron.
Ugh. Listen, you're not thinking logically. We couldn't have a mind if it weren't for the physical organ, the brain. So if something is wrong with the mind, then, logically something has to be wrong with the brain. Must I post a link to a website showing PET scans of a schizophrenic brain? I will if necessary. Also, I am not "stoned on psychiatric toxins." It's prozac. A perfectly healthy medication. Stop exaggerating.
Minds arent matter. Therefore can not be fixed. You believe a theory that a fraudulent so called "chemical imbalance" is the cause of so called "mental illness" without a shred of evidence to back these claims. Prove it that so called "mental illness" is an illness like cancer and that a "chemical imbalance" is the cause. I know you cant prove this.
@WickedWitchElphaba Actually, not Prozac, nor any drug, is a 'Healthy' drug. It's been proven that most anti-depressants actually INCREASE chances of suicide. Why do you think EVERY SSRI commercial has a warning specifically stating may increase chances of suicide? Mhm...
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Not any drug is healthy? What about antihistimines? Nasal decongestents? Antibiotics? Pretty sure all of those are very healthy drugs indeed.
I do not deny that that risk does exist, however it is a rare side effect. You cannot always blame the antidepressant for the suicide...it could be that the drug just isn't working. Nine times out of ten, however, SSRI's do not increase suicidal tendencies.
@WickedWitchElphaba Nine times out of ten? Where do you get that data? My guess, would be you get it from the people who make them. Do you know 10 people who used SSRI's, and only one killed themselves?
I bet not.
Honestly, I believe it IS possible for a drug to help a person with Depression, since depression can be cause by such a WIDE range of things. But It's not likely. And why would you take such a big risk when there are so many safer options you could try first.
@hinataxnarutofan8191 I actually got that data from my medical doctor, not a psychiatrist. I've actually never known anyone using SSRI's that killed themselves...but I do know quite a few who are on SSRI's, with varying degrees of success. Worst case scenario I've seen was the drug just not working.
Now, why take the risk? Simply because the risk is worth it. One girl I know with Bipolar disorder says she dislikes the side effects of her medication, but she dislikes the disease more.
You say I offer no evidence? Neither have you. My evidence comes from personal experience, the research of many professors and scientists, and reputable books and websites. Where does your "evidence" come from? As stated, I can post a link to a schizophrenic brain versus a healthy brain.
You have no evidence. I do. Your personal experience isn't evidence to the facts. You read websites and books from NIMH who have ties to drug comps. That throws all your evidence out the window. You cant post anything cuz schizophrenia doesnt exist. prove to me a chemical imbalance is cause of so called "mental illnes". i knw u cant prove it. ur chicken.
@WickedWitchElphaba Listen, I have changed and learned A LOT since posting this video 3 years ago.
as I said before, Schizophrenia is a matter of the brain reacting in mixed signals from the body because of physical stress. Guaranteed, ALL 'Schizo's' have some other bodily problem going on when they are diagnosed. I was depressed once, I was about to be prescribed an SSRI class anti-depressant. I read the side effects and decided my life was fine. Diagnosed a month late, Depression free.
You say you just 'decided' your life was fine? Snapped out of it, just like that? I find it hard to believe then, that you were truly depressed. It instead seems that you were simply dwelling on sadness before realizing you didn't need to. True clincial depression cannot simply be 'snapped out of.' One can recover alone, but it takes time and effort. Like any illness though, sometimes the disease simply runs its course.
@WickedWitchElphaba The problem with that logic is, anytime the body isn't doing what Psych's deem 'Normal' You have a disease. Disease is too commonly used for it to really mean anything specific anymore.
If I was indeed 'dwelling on sadness' my brainwaves and functions were different, therefor I had a disease.
Tell me, why is THAT reputable and NOT Scientology?
Because it's back by Government organizations that are only interest in Bottom dollar?
That's a lot like asking a Christian how they know God or Satan is real... They will 90% of the time tell you "Because the bible says so". Your claims have just as little evidence as you say ours do.
And as far as your life, you believe Prozac helps, so it does. It's called a Placebo.
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Scientology is a belief system. NIMH is a scientific organization, not only backed by the government, but by scientists. It is not in the slightest comparable to religion.
That argument can be made. However, it is useless to argue these points because I will not change what research has discovered and you will not change your opinions. And you are entitled to them.
True, mental illness doesn't exist, at least not as a physical illness. Treat doesn't necessarily mean the use of ECT and drugs. As I stated earlier, I do not believe in the use of physical means (drugs and electricity) to treat a problem that cannot be proved as being physical to begin with.
For the record, I was suicidal for six years and told that I would never recover without psychiatric intervention. Today I love life and never took drugs.
@WickedWitchElphaba ALL sources are biased one way or the other. You can't have an opinion without some influence from a side. You get your info from biased sources. Even if it really is just observation, You're biased because you believe it helped you once.
I also have a question. All in all, how much did/do you pay for everything? Drugs, Psychotherapy, the works...?
I bet it's enough to have done a lot of other things.
If Psychiatric drugs work, There should be no need for Psychotherapy.
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Statistics themselves are the unbiased sources. Actual scientific experiements, medical data, and the like. Those are about as unbiased as it gets. If you got your sources from an anti-psychiatry website, however, there is a chance that the data you received was less than accurate.
My health insurance covers it.
Psychiatric drugs are controversial at best, and they don't work for everyone. Psychotherapy failed for me. Prozac did not.
@WickedWitchElphaba Again, these statistics are coming from the guys who make money off of it. America is full of conspiracies. That's how our government works these days.
You're a fool if you think that your 'Statistic' are true just because a scientist said they are... Now, believing they work because of experience is a different matter. I'm glad you got better, but how long ago did you start Prozac? and when did/will you stop?
SSRI's are just like any other drug. And I do mean ALL drugs.
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Well if you don't believe the scientists, who will you believe? Politicians, religious leaders? Those are your biased sources...science is as unbiased as it gets. I'm not saying they don't have some corruption, but if a scientist is faced with overwhelming data that is hypothesis is wrong, most will admit that it was wrong and try again.
I started prozac three years ago. I've been off it for about six months now. So far, so good.
@WickedWitchElphaba Even Antibiotics have been known to get people addicted or cause massive physical trauma of sorts. I'm not saying drugs can't be useful, but there are better methods and serious risks if you choose not to use other methods.
@hinataxnarutofan8191 For most illnesses, drugs are the only answer. You can't treat diseases like pneumonia without them. Sure, there are risks. But usually the benefits out-weigh them.
It's the same way with psych drugs. Now, admittedly its best to try psychotherapy first, but if that doesn't work oftentimes your options are limited. Many people do a combination, both drugs and therapy.
Also, just for the record, thank you for debating with me calmly and rationally. :)
Are you saying that my suffering these past three years has not existed? That the people who help me are souless? Because if so, I have to think that you are more of a hate-monger than my doctor.
This kid is clearly not educated on the topic of psychiatry... you do realise that medication is only a fraction of what helps somebody with a mental illness get better right? The majority of it is building up a therapeutic relationship with the patient, along with group therapys. Without psychiatry a lot of people would not be able to cope. I think this makes you a very selfish person and you need to be educated on this.
Actually, in modern day the focus is less on therapy and more on medication. Without psychiatry, I think most people would live longer rather than dying 25 years ealier. Statistically, people who become psychiatric patients die 25 years earlier due to medication.
That's in a hospital, I presume, and not in a regular mental health clinic, right? At any rate, you do prescribe a lot of medications, most of which cause insane amounts of health problems down the road, and, as I said, satistically cause premature death 25 years earlier than average joe. Pyschiatry needs to be reformed. The proof lies in the fact that the Quakers and modern-day third world countries have a high success rate with treating mental illness!
People like you make me sick, you try to make it seem like psychiatry is evil. So what do you fuck heads want to do, leave the mentally ill to suffer alone?. SHIT LIKE THIS IS ALL A HOAX TO PROVIDE IGNORANT PEOPLE WITH SOMETHING TO HATE.
I'm not ignorant. I was a psych major, and I can tell you it's a load of crap. It's all based on culture, assumptions, and, sometimes, downright lies. The "mentally ill" are suffering, but drugs aren't gonig to help them. Reaching out will. Heck, 3rd world countries have higher success rates of treating mental illness because they don't use drugs.
I am against psychiatry but I am not a scientologist. It is only a tool to spread their big pharma bullshit and its the greatest threat facing our great democracy.
And now they are using the slur of scientology to discredit antipsychiatry. Everytime I say I am antipsychiatry they say "oh just like Tom Cruise" Fuck Tom Cruise
Show me your statistics. Psychiatrists don't make too much money. In fact, The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that psychiatrists earned an average income of $147,620 in 2007.
You know what else kills? Schizophrenia: lifetime(succeeded) suicide risk 4.9%, Bi-polar: 15%, Depression:3,5%, Drug and alcohol addiction: 25%....I found these figures in different articles by searching in google. These figures may differ according to studies but everywhere you look they are pretty high. So look at the data before you judge..I agree psychiatry is a pretty fucked up industry especially in the US and A but don't say that can't do any good..I'm just so tired
but if that is true then why is it that so many people out there who live in that society don't kill themselves?
some of these individual's minds are so tainted and twisted that they see death as an escape, a release from suffering. the thing you seem to foeget is that Logic isn't an inherent ability in all people.
where are you getting this information from? the COS, quiet frankly, isn't a reliable source. they started this because the psych, respected professionals, called Dianetics(please forgive me for the spelling error) garbage. his response was to say that those people were criminals.
any information they give you will contain MAJOR bias.
what you should do anti those bad doctor who abuse their psychiatric patient, not psychiatry itself. by supporting anti-psychiatry you are saying that organic disease causes is also absurd such hepatic encephalopathy which is proven already. those idea of anti-psychiatry is already about 50 years old already. even though it was started by psychiatrist who dunno what they're dealing with before, currently anti-psychiatry is lead by group of lawyer and ex-psychiatric patient. you believe them?
Abuse by the doctor? is that an evidence psychiatry is myth?
dont you know when someone seeing something that isnt there called schizophrenia? its not a myth like many anti-psychiatrist says and not 'split personality'? stupid. they should check icd-10 or dsm-4 criteria in diagnosing it, before taking absurd stories like jekyl and hyde into psychiatrist.
what could kill is if pscyhiatrically ill patient not treated then commit suicide or behave aggressively killing their own family.
there is no such thing as a mental disorder at least not one having to do with the brain.
any religious person know you do not think with your brain you may refer to it as the brain but its not. the theory is you have a spirit. right? and the spirit is who you are.
right? then how would taking a drug make any sense at all?how could a man made item (i.e. a drug) cause the mind the actual thinking device which resides in the spirit and the spirit alone to change.
I disagree. I'm a religious person, and I believe that everyone has a spirit. However, to say that you don't think with your brain is going a little too far. The spirit is your being...it can't be seen, touched, heard, etc. Your brain is part of your physical body, and while it can be altered by human-made items, the spirit can't.
(continued)...The brain, also being home to the hormones that control the body's moods, actions, everything a person does, is not only a place where it's possible to develop a mental disorder, it's the ONLY place you can develop a mental disorder...because it's impossible to think mentally with any other part of your body.
it can't it can only alter your brain which if altered in the right way will make you a vegetable, one way they do this is with lobotomy that is the deadliest "cure" of all every day thousands of Californian citizens are lobotomized because they are tired of maltreatment the reason people go "crazy" is because of things that happened in another life time.
(continued)...The brain, also being home to the hormones that control the body's moods, actions, everything a person does, is not only a place where it's possible to develop a mental disorder, it's the ONLY place you can develop a mental disorder...because it's impossible to think mentally with any other part of your body.
(finalized)...So therefore the spirit doesn't change, because it's intangible...while the brain, being a physical, tangible "item"...can be affected by things that come into contact with it, such as drugs.
you may have your opinion and thats all fine and dandy... but my belief is only one thing can cure brainwashing and other related things and that is: solitude...
Psychiatry is not evil, but it is clearly abused. You should be fighting for vigilance, not eradication. Remember: crazy people came first, then came psychiatry as a response. Some of talk like it's the other way around.
take a look at psychiatries past they slaughtered, raped, abused, lobotimized million by the day it amazes me anyone could even think about being a part of this cult the only insane people are the ones who don't delve as deep as they can people such as you psychiatry even today kills people because they aren't playful enough or they are too playful heck they'll lock someone away cause they have a speech problem...
your wrong if you dig deeper you'll find the truth.
now, is that evidence that psychiatry is a myth? no, its an evidence of doctors misconduct of the patient. is psychiatry to be blame? shame on you supporting anti-psychiatry
Tip of the day: Find out how 27-year-old Stephen Kazmierczak who was considered a "normal, person, an outstanding student, and even received a Dean's Award for outstanding work in sociology.
Became a murder on Psych drugs.
Google:
"Illinois Shooter was Treated with Psych Meds Prior to Shooting Rampage"
I was misdiagnosed schizoaffective bipolar disorder because of my cluttering speech which is Dyslexic,Dyspraxic related. They didn't do any psychological testing. They didn't even ask if I had speech therapy or special education. I was confirmed Dyslexic,Dyspraxic by Veteran Affairs neurologists.
Though I fear this will be taken as somewhat of an infantile response, I feel it is important:
CCHR is a branch of Scientology, a cult that believes "Xenu" an alien ruler brought billions of people to Earth 75 million years ago, and blew them up with hydrogen bombs, producing "body thetans" which still cause all our woes today.
Now, really, does this sound like something an intelligent, rational, well informed person would believe?
I have been a Scientologist for 32 years and the only place I have ever heard anything about "Xenu" was on the Sci-Fi channel of TV. You are so funny.
It's a know fact, many former Scientologist's have confirmed it.
I feel sort of sorry for you, you're so full of ignorant hate, for someone who is obviously quite young. I say obviously because your lack of knowledge is made evident in your arguments. That and you just swear at people when they disagree with you.
look you have no right to say any of what you just said because even if what you said was true all religions believe that some un-seen being created them and all other humans and besides i have never heard of xenu except on sites that are against scientology and sci-fi channel and books...
srry i cursed i was already mad and that kinda added to it now im not so pissed and im very srry...
also please i dont appreciate you telling me what i believe is wrong so please stop...
Oh don't get me wrong, every religion is equally ridiculous, and in fact you raise a good point. Christians who snicker at Scientology are so myopic it's not funny.
The fact that a stranger telling you your religion is silly upsets you proves you already know it is.
i'm going to turn that around.why should religion be suceptable to criticism?what purpose does it serve to criticise other religions?what does it do for you?
When you have Anglican bishops saying things like "floods are punishment for homosexuality", where sexual abuse by priests is rampant, where Scientologists and TV evangelists fleece people of millions of dollars a year based on absurd claims with no proof, where genocide is carried out in the name of religion. Yes, I think religion should be criticized.
Oh, and, Scientology was created by a science fiction writer quoted as saying, "the easiest way to make money would be to start a religion." Anyone who believes his garbage truly bewilders me.
It WAS founded by a FORMER science fiction writer, but he was also an auditor,a seaman,a philosopher, and a humanitarian.and how do YOU,a kid who is apparently athiest and in conjunction doesn't know anything about it,know ANYTHING about how or why it was created?
its a basic human right to question every thing, to act and accept without questioning is how crimes against humanity are commited. and i dont know about scientology being a religeon. to be a religeon im sure you need a diety.
critisism is used as a tool to point out weaknesses and suggest improvements. thats constructive critisism and it is a rarity these days when the flip side seems to be more popualar which involves disagreement and personal attacks
You guys are truly retarded. 33% of people with depression are relieved of symptoms after using an SSRI for 8-10 weeks. Another 25% are relieved when trying another SSRI, different from the frist one used. I really don't understand how you can fall for propaganda like this. Psychiatry has documented evidence showing that it works!
The are temporarily relieved of symptoms, but they are NEVER cured. And in the long term, the side-effects ruin your life. See the blog, Bipolar Blast, for a real education of what your meds will do to you over time.
well i dont't know anything about what the drugs can and cant do except they all are bad but if those psychiatrists try and touch me ill fuck them up and i certainly wont go down with out a fight (worse comes to worse ill have to kill us both *me and the fucking psychiatrists) but i doubt ill need too there too dumb to even realize who dealing with besides my I.Q. is higher then any of the dumb-asses in psychiatry...
Hina, actually my response was for Johanboger, but, since you responded I think its fantastic that you are fighting back. If only more bipolars had your fighting spirit!

I do belive the goverment had some kind of involment on 9/11 (BTW i dont live in the USA, i live far away) but i have seen "definite claims" that proofs it was hydrogen bombs, thermobaric devices, thermite, and so on.
HerrSpieldose 1 year ago
when I was a kid I was raped by a neighbor after being dx'd as "hyperactive" and manic and I freaked out and was locked in a nut ward, strapped to a table for a week until I was willing to take Depakote... had 3 experiences of workers slamming my face into the pavement for saying "Fuck You" and although my moods tend to get elevated in the summer, blaring the ipod when the voices act up works better than any drug.
HerrSpieldose 1 year ago
and objectively there is a percentage of people who's lives are better because of psychiatry and good for them and who helped them... but even as I say that, therapists and so called recovered drugged DSM drones do not acknowledge that it doesn't help everyone and are mean and nasty toward you when you describe what helped and that is rude IMHO. They are on a high horse about their being a survivor and expect to be babied even when it is their trauma but are vile when it is about psych..

aquarobinson 1 year ago
I think the idea is that most people prescribed psych drug don't need them to begin with. Not that many years ago homosexuality was considered a mental illness. why was it' s staus changed? it was not because the brain chemistry changed in those people, but the attitudes about that behavior changed. How many of those people were drugged, shocked or submitted to psycho-surgery to live a "healthy and productive" life?
MrBenquo 1 year ago
People seem to forget, yes psychiatry is highly inaccurate, but there are many people that have been helped by these drugs. I have seen peoples depression clear up once they are on an anti-depressant. yes, these chemical inbalances have not been proven, but that is because psych research is only in it's infancy.

hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@InvisibleRefugee2 True point. One of the biggest frauds in this country is that a person's emotional or mental suffering is rooted in biology. Quite frankly, you cannot use physical means to "treat" a person's non-physical problem.
shounenbat510 2 years ago
I agree, people should not stay in a psych ward too long. And the ideal for is for people to eventually go off meds. (Unless they're corrupt doctors, which unfortunately there are a lot of. ALL types of doctors are corrupt tho, not just psychiatrists.) Antipsychotics are really the worst of the drugs, but there's research being done to get rid of side effects. And other meds really don't have too many harmful side effects.
WickedWitchElphaba 2 years ago
WickedWitchElphaba 2 years ago
@WickedWitchElphaba Nobody needs toxic psychiatric mind altering meds. Perhaps you do faggot. Since when does "mental illness" exist?. PROVE IT.
Draziom203 1 year ago
@WickedWitchElphaba And a Chemical Lobotomy is not the same as the original sort of lobotomy. It's a caused by a Neuroleptic... all neuroleptics cause 'chemical lobotomies' with no specific therapeutic effect on any symptoms or problems. Their main impact is to subdue the individual. They also physically paralyze the body, acting as a chemical straightjacket. Additionally, these drugs are the cause of a plague of brain damage effecting up to half or more of long-term patients.
hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Ah, you're talking of the effects of the older anti-psychotics, such as thorazine, yes? That drug was very popular until about the late '80s-early '90s.
However, those types of anti-psychotics are only prescribed as a last resort in treating schizophrenia. And personally, if I were a doctor, I'm not sure I would use it even then.
WickedWitchElphaba 9 months ago
I find clorpromacine and levomepromazine quite useful for patients with highly agresive behaviour for a max of 2-3 days... also is a very good and cheap option for treating chemoterapy nauseas or cocaine intoxication. Im not a shrink, BTW.
adriiPortillo 9 months ago
WickedWitchElphaba 2 years ago
@WickedWitchElphaba Take your mind altering chemicals as prescribed you loon. Soon those drugs will destroy your whole CNS and shut down your organs. You will NEVER be bale to get off your psychiatric candies. Enjoy life! Bahahaha.

Draziom203 1 year ago
No, I'm an intelligent person because I don't resort to pathetic internet grammar. You say you want proof? Well then, if mental illness is fake, explain to me why I've lived with depersonalization for three years now? Explain to me schizophrenia, depression, and numerous other mental disorders. The thing is, you can't without admitting that there is something wrong with that persons mind. The difference between psychiatry and you is that we try to help these people without stigmatizing them.
WickedWitchElphaba 1 year ago
@WickedWitchElphaba depersonalization is a symptom not a disease/disorder. Emotional symptoms aren't
diseases/disorders as you state.
Draziom203 1 year ago
You still haven't explained to me schizophrenia if mental illnesses do not exist. And of course the mind is matter, the brain is physical organ. Duh. You want proof? PET scans consistently show biological differences in schizophrenic brains than in healthy brains. Obviously the psyche and the brain are intertwined, as the psyche can only exist because of the biological organ. And trust me, you sound more ignorant than I do at this point.

lol - Fact is a lot if not most people develop Schizophrenia entering College
So they suggest this "spontaneous brain damage" happens in the admissions lobby in major college's across the country?

"spontaneous brain damage" sheesh...

@IronicallyVague I wouldn't feed this troll called "WickedWitchElphaba". This person is all stoned on psychiatric toxins and believes what he/she says. Its a waste of time to prove this idiot that "mental illness" is a fraud to this person. Best bet is to ignore this person.
Draziom203 1 year ago
@WickedWitchElphaba Schizophrenia doesn't exist. Show me the biological medical evidence it does. Where is the proof?. The mind is matter?. Your one short of a 6 pack. PET scans show nothing of ANY so called "mental illness". You know nothing and sound stupid. You cant prove anything that so called "mental illness" exists. mind isn't matter moron.
Draziom203 1 year ago
WickedWitchElphaba 1 year ago
Minds arent matter. Therefore can not be fixed. You believe a theory that a fraudulent so called "chemical imbalance" is the cause of so called "mental illness" without a shred of evidence to back these claims. Prove it that so called "mental illness" is an illness like cancer and that a "chemical imbalance" is the cause. I know you cant prove this.
Draziom203 1 year ago
@WickedWitchElphaba Actually, not Prozac, nor any drug, is a 'Healthy' drug. It's been proven that most anti-depressants actually INCREASE chances of suicide. Why do you think EVERY SSRI commercial has a warning specifically stating may increase chances of suicide? Mhm...
hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Not any drug is healthy? What about antihistimines? Nasal decongestents? Antibiotics? Pretty sure all of those are very healthy drugs indeed.
I do not deny that that risk does exist, however it is a rare side effect. You cannot always blame the antidepressant for the suicide...it could be that the drug just isn't working. Nine times out of ten, however, SSRI's do not increase suicidal tendencies.
WickedWitchElphaba 9 months ago
@WickedWitchElphaba Nine times out of ten? Where do you get that data? My guess, would be you get it from the people who make them. Do you know 10 people who used SSRI's, and only one killed themselves?
I bet not.
Honestly, I believe it IS possible for a drug to help a person with Depression, since depression can be cause by such a WIDE range of things. But It's not likely. And why would you take such a big risk when there are so many safer options you could try first.
hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@hinataxnarutofan8191 I actually got that data from my medical doctor, not a psychiatrist. I've actually never known anyone using SSRI's that killed themselves...but I do know quite a few who are on SSRI's, with varying degrees of success. Worst case scenario I've seen was the drug just not working.
Now, why take the risk? Simply because the risk is worth it. One girl I know with Bipolar disorder says she dislikes the side effects of her medication, but she dislikes the disease more.
WickedWitchElphaba 9 months ago
You say I offer no evidence? Neither have you. My evidence comes from personal experience, the research of many professors and scientists, and reputable books and websites. Where does your "evidence" come from? As stated, I can post a link to a schizophrenic brain versus a healthy brain.
WickedWitchElphaba 1 year ago
You have no evidence. I do. Your personal experience isn't evidence to the facts. You read websites and books from NIMH who have ties to drug comps. That throws all your evidence out the window. You cant post anything cuz schizophrenia doesnt exist. prove to me a chemical imbalance is cause of so called "mental illnes". i knw u cant prove it. ur chicken.
Draziom203 1 year ago
@Draziom203 Otherwise the term "Mind over matter" would never have been thought up. :D
hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@WickedWitchElphaba Listen, I have changed and learned A LOT since posting this video 3 years ago.
as I said before, Schizophrenia is a matter of the brain reacting in mixed signals from the body because of physical stress. Guaranteed, ALL 'Schizo's' have some other bodily problem going on when they are diagnosed. I was depressed once, I was about to be prescribed an SSRI class anti-depressant. I read the side effects and decided my life was fine. Diagnosed a month late, Depression free.
hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Ah, you see? There is a biological basis to it.
WickedWitchElphaba 9 months ago
@WickedWitchElphaba The problem with that logic is, anytime the body isn't doing what Psych's deem 'Normal' You have a disease. Disease is too commonly used for it to really mean anything specific anymore.
If I was indeed 'dwelling on sadness' my brainwaves and functions were different, therefor I had a disease.
hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@WickedWitchElphaba You say NIMH is Reputable.
It's called a Placebo.
hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Scientology is a belief system. NIMH is a scientific organization, not only backed by the government, but by scientists. It is not in the slightest comparable to religion.
That argument can be made. However, it is useless to argue these points because I will not change what research has discovered and you will not change your opinions. And you are entitled to them.

@InvisibleRefugee2
Today I love life and never took drugs.
shounenbat510 2 years ago
I have a simple question, and I hope you can answer it:
Are you getting these statistics from an unbiased source? And if so, where?
WickedWitchElphaba 2 years ago
@WickedWitchElphaba ALL sources are biased one way or the other. You can't have an opinion without some influence from a side. You get your info from biased sources. Even if it really is just observation, You're biased because you believe it helped you once.
I also have a question. All in all, how much did/do you pay for everything? Drugs, Psychotherapy, the works...?
I bet it's enough to have done a lot of other things.
If Psychiatric drugs work, There should be no need for Psychotherapy.
hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Statistics themselves are the unbiased sources. Actual scientific experiements, medical data, and the like. Those are about as unbiased as it gets. If you got your sources from an anti-psychiatry website, however, there is a chance that the data you received was less than accurate.
My health insurance covers it.
Psychiatric drugs are controversial at best, and they don't work for everyone. Psychotherapy failed for me. Prozac did not.
WickedWitchElphaba 9 months ago
@WickedWitchElphaba Again, these statistics are coming from the guys who make money off of it. America is full of conspiracies. That's how our government works these days.
You're a fool if you think that your 'Statistic' are true just because a scientist said they are... Now, believing they work because of experience is a different matter. I'm glad you got better, but how long ago did you start Prozac? and when did/will you stop?
SSRI's are just like any other drug. And I do mean ALL drugs.
hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@hinataxnarutofan8191 Well if you don't believe the scientists, who will you believe? Politicians, religious leaders? Those are your biased sources...science is as unbiased as it gets. I'm not saying they don't have some corruption, but if a scientist is faced with overwhelming data that is hypothesis is wrong, most will admit that it was wrong and try again.
I started prozac three years ago. I've been off it for about six months now. So far, so good.
WickedWitchElphaba 9 months ago
@WickedWitchElphaba Even Antibiotics have been known to get people addicted or cause massive physical trauma of sorts. I'm not saying drugs can't be useful, but there are better methods and serious risks if you choose not to use other methods.
hinataxnarutofan8191 9 months ago
@hinataxnarutofan8191 For most illnesses, drugs are the only answer. You can't treat diseases like pneumonia without them. Sure, there are risks. But usually the benefits out-weigh them.
It's the same way with psych drugs. Now, admittedly its best to try psychotherapy first, but if that doesn't work oftentimes your options are limited. Many people do a combination, both drugs and therapy.
Also, just for the record, thank you for debating with me calmly and rationally. :)
WickedWitchElphaba 9 months ago

This kid is clearly not educated on the topic of psychiatry... you do realise that medication is only a fraction of what helps somebody with a mental illness get better right? The majority of it is building up a therapeutic relationship with the patient, along with group therapys. Without psychiatry a lot of people would not be able to cope. I think this makes you a very selfish person and you need to be educated on this.
kapowski09 2 years ago
Actually, in modern day the focus is less on therapy and more on medication. Without psychiatry, I think most people would live longer rather than dying 25 years ealier. Statistically, people who become psychiatric patients die 25 years earlier due to medication.
shounenbat510 2 years ago 2
Well as a psychiatric nurse, I would have to diagree. In modern day as you put it medication comes second to nursing interventions such as CBT.
kapowski09 2 years ago
That's in a hospital, I presume, and not in a regular mental health clinic, right? At any rate, you do prescribe a lot of medications, most of which cause insane amounts of health problems down the road, and, as I said, satistically cause premature death 25 years earlier than average joe. Pyschiatry needs to be reformed. The proof lies in the fact that the Quakers and modern-day third world countries have a high success rate with treating mental illness!

what you should do anti those bad doctor who abuse their psychiatric patient, not psychiatry itself. by supporting anti-psychiatry you are saying that organic disease causes is also absurd such hepatic encephalopathy which is proven already. those idea of anti-psychiatry is already about 50 years old already. even though it was started by psychiatrist who dunno what they're dealing with before, currently anti-psychiatry is lead by group of lawyer and ex-psychiatric patient. you believe them?
shamlix 3 years ago
Abuse by the doctor? is that an evidence psychiatry is myth?
dont you know when someone seeing something that isnt there called schizophrenia? its not a myth like many anti-psychiatrist says and not 'split personality'? stupid. they should check icd-10 or dsm-4 criteria in diagnosing it, before taking absurd stories like jekyl and hyde into psychiatrist.
what could kill is if pscyhiatrically ill patient not treated then commit suicide or behave aggressively killing their own family.
shamlix 3 years ago
there is no such thing as a mental disorder at least not one having to do with the brain.
any religious person know you do not think with your brain you may refer to it as the brain but its not. the theory is you have a spirit. right? and the spirit is who you are.
right? then how would taking a drug make any sense at all?how could a man made item (i.e. a drug) cause the mind the actual thinking device which resides in the spirit and the spirit alone to change.
hinataxnarutofan8191 3 years ago
I disagree. I'm a religious person, and I believe that everyone has a spirit. However, to say that you don't think with your brain is going a little too far. The spirit is your being...it can't be seen, touched, heard, etc. Your brain is part of your physical body, and while it can be altered by human-made items, the spirit can't.
FatherDuck1 3 years ago
(continued)...The brain, also being home to the hormones that control the body's moods, actions, everything a person does, is not only a place where it's possible to develop a mental disorder, it's the ONLY place you can develop a mental disorder...because it's impossible to think mentally with any other part of your body.
FatherDuck1 3 years ago
it can't it can only alter your brain which if altered in the right way will make you a vegetable, one way they do this is with lobotomy that is the deadliest "cure" of all every day thousands of Californian citizens are lobotomized because they are tired of maltreatment the reason people go "crazy" is because of things that happened in another life time.

(continued)...The brain, also being home to the hormones that control the body's moods, actions, everything a person does, is not only a place where it's possible to develop a mental disorder, it's the ONLY place you can develop a mental disorder...because it's impossible to think mentally with any other part of your body.
FatherDuck1 3 years ago
(finalized)...So therefore the spirit doesn't change, because it's intangible...while the brain, being a physical, tangible "item"...can be affected by things that come into contact with it, such as drugs.
FatherDuck1 3 years ago
Lobotomies haven't been used in over fifty years. Get your facts straight.

what you are saying makes a lot of since.
a cult that mind washes it's members would hate psychiatry because they are the people that can recerse the effects.
i'm sure slugs hate salt in the same way.
ggcpres 3 years ago
first:recerse isn't a real word...
second:to be perfectly honest, i'm not sure what your trying to say...
hinataxnarutofan8191 3 years ago
what i am trying to say is that the reason that Scientology dislikes psychiatry is that psychiatry can reverse the effects of brain washing.
hence the salt and slug comment.
the slug is brain washing, and the salt is psychiatry.
that being said i do have to agree with you that the over prescribing of mind altering drugs is an issue. ADHD gets prescribed WAY too much.
ggcpres 3 years ago
well hmm...
you may have your opinion and thats all fine and dandy... but my belief is only one thing can cure brainwashing and other related things and that is: solitude...

okay got it.
hinataxnarutofan8191 3 years ago
Psychiatry is not evil, but it is clearly abused. You should be fighting for vigilance, not eradication. Remember: crazy people came first, then came psychiatry as a response. Some of talk like it's the other way around.
Bombill 3 years ago
take a look at psychiatries past they slaughtered, raped, abused, lobotimized million by the day it amazes me anyone could even think about being a part of this cult the only insane people are the ones who don't delve as deep as they can people such as you psychiatry even today kills people because they aren't playful enough or they are too playful heck they'll lock someone away cause they have a speech problem...
your wrong if you dig deeper you'll find the truth.
hinataxnarutofan8191 3 years ago
now, is that evidence that psychiatry is a myth? no, its an evidence of doctors misconduct of the patient. is psychiatry to be blame? shame on you supporting anti-psychiatry
shamlix 3 years ago
Nice vid!
Lot of truth in it.
I could only add one thing.
What Psychiatry does to the planet is even worse than one easily can imagine.

primitive, manipulative propaganda. scientologists are motivated by money only. psychiatrists arent gods, but most of them try their best.
Xenu, hahahaha

I was misdiagnosed schizoaffective bipolar disorder because of my cluttering speech which is Dyslexic,Dyspraxic related. They didn't do any psychological testing. They didn't even ask if I had speech therapy or special education. I was confirmed Dyslexic,Dyspraxic by Veteran Affairs neurologists.
fomalhauto 4 years ago
Though I fear this will be taken as somewhat of an infantile response, I feel it is important:
CCHR is a branch of Scientology, a cult that believes "Xenu" an alien ruler brought billions of people to Earth 75 million years ago, and blew them up with hydrogen bombs, producing "body thetans" which still cause all our woes today.
Now, really, does this sound like something an intelligent, rational, well informed person would believe?
originpax 4 years ago
Hello;
I have been a Scientologist for 32 years and the only place I have ever heard anything about "Xenu" was on the Sci-Fi channel of TV. You are so funny.
Grandma
Now from my Grandson "Are you on Psych Drugs?"
STFU
hinataxnarutofan8191 4 years ago
It's a know fact, many former Scientologist's have confirmed it.
I feel sort of sorry for you, you're so full of ignorant hate, for someone who is obviously quite young. I say obviously because your lack of knowledge is made evident in your arguments. That and you just swear at people when they disagree with you.
originpax 4 years ago
look you have no right to say any of what you just said because even if what you said was true all religions believe that some un-seen being created them and all other humans and besides i have never heard of xenu except on sites that are against scientology and sci-fi channel and books...
srry i cursed i was already mad and that kinda added to it now im not so pissed and im very srry...
also please i dont appreciate you telling me what i believe is wrong so please stop...
hinataxnarutofan8191 4 years ago
Oh don't get me wrong, every religion is equally ridiculous, and in fact you raise a good point. Christians who snicker at Scientology are so myopic it's not funny.
The fact that a stranger telling you your religion is silly upsets you proves you already know it is.
originpax 4 years ago
what evvs.Scientology is as much a religion as Christianity and Judaism.Nobody has the right to make fun of ANYBODY's religion
inufreak525 4 years ago
Why not? Why should religion be immune to criticism?
originpax 4 years ago
i'm going to turn that around.why should religion be suceptable to criticism?what purpose does it serve to criticise other religions?what does it do for you?
inufreak525 4 years ago
When you have Anglican bishops saying things like "floods are punishment for homosexuality", where sexual abuse by priests is rampant, where Scientologists and TV evangelists fleece people of millions of dollars a year based on absurd claims with no proof, where genocide is carried out in the name of religion. Yes, I think religion should be criticized.
originpax 4 years ago
Oh, and, Scientology was created by a science fiction writer quoted as saying, "the easiest way to make money would be to start a religion." Anyone who believes his garbage truly bewilders me.
originpax 4 years ago
It WAS founded by a FORMER science fiction writer, but he was also an auditor,a seaman,a philosopher, and a humanitarian.and how do YOU,a kid who is apparently athiest and in conjunction doesn't know anything about it,know ANYTHING about how or why it was created?
inufreak525 4 years ago
its a basic human right to question every thing, to act and accept without questioning is how crimes against humanity are commited. and i dont know about scientology being a religeon. to be a religeon im sure you need a diety.
beeboh87 4 years ago
That doesn't makes sense. There are plenty of religions without a god, Buddhism is one you would know.
originpax 4 years ago
what purpose is there for criticising anything? hm?
hinataxnarutofan8191 4 years ago
thats true.why criticise anything?
ITACHI5294 4 years ago
critisism is used as a tool to point out weaknesses and suggest improvements. thats constructive critisism and it is a rarity these days when the flip side seems to be more popualar which involves disagreement and personal attacks
beeboh87 4 years ago
The problem is that there's so much inertia with the system and people are so braindead that often there's very little of a possible solution.

1) SSRIs cannot cure depression nor are they designed to.
2) SSRIs commonly experience relapse rates of up to 80%
3) SSRIs are highly addictive often resulting in dependency.
4) SSRIs side effects include aggression, violence and suicidality.
5) SSRI Discontinuation Syndrome
6) SSRIs prescribed to children can be a lethal combination.
7) The fastest, easiest and most effective permanent depression treatment is NOT medication.
hinataxnarutofan8191 4 years ago
Wait, if SSRI's do not cure depression, then how can there by replaces of 80%?
originpax 4 years ago
because like bipolar said they temporarily mask symptoms...
hinataxnarutofan8191 4 years ago
So please tell us what you DO think the fastest, easist and most effective permanent depression treatment is
gonnamakit 3 years ago
yeah, i think those absurd anti-psychiatry know the answer and their answer would be commit suicide by jump from tall building or hand themselves
shamlix 3 years ago
You guys are truly retarded. 33% of people with depression are relieved of symptoms after using an SSRI for 8-10 weeks. Another 25% are relieved when trying another SSRI, different from the frist one used. I really don't understand how you can fall for propaganda like this. Psychiatry has documented evidence showing that it works!
johanboger 4 years ago
FUCKER! don't do that let people believe what they want to believe.
hinataxnarutofan8191 4 years ago
The are temporarily relieved of symptoms, but they are NEVER cured. And in the long term, the side-effects ruin your life. See the blog, Bipolar Blast, for a real education of what your meds will do to you over time.
bipolarorwakingup 4 years ago
well i dont't know anything about what the drugs can and cant do except they all are bad but if those psychiatrists try and touch me ill fuck them up and i certainly wont go down with out a fight (worse comes to worse ill have to kill us both *me and the fucking psychiatrists) but i doubt ill need too there too dumb to even realize who dealing with besides my I.Q. is higher then any of the dumb-asses in psychiatry...
hinataxnarutofan8191 4 years ago
Hina, actually my response was for Johanboger, but, since you responded I think its fantastic that you are fighting back. If only more bipolars had your fighting spirit!
