<3 the graphics on this thing. (after playing the non-renakes of the first 4 I'm looking forward to some decent graphics (where the guy's face isn't made up of a total of five pixels :P (or girls... for 4)) :D
My biggest Gripes in this game were the glitches that froze the game, and then the entire computer:
1 - When you face the first henchman the game freezes if you don't do some redundant thing first
2 - In the underworld when you get the feather that fucking portal doesn't work and the game freezes unless you do something that I can't remember (luck maybe?).
those were the two most annoying glitches ever and thumbs up if you agree so others can see this and get nostalgic too.
@AngelOnez I made one passing comment about it... I complained more about how crappy my computer was capturing the game then the graphics. I didn't rant about it. The graphics are outdated, pointing that out doesn't mean I complain..
@quantum460 Yes for them it is. You know Graham is only at his 50s most here. In KQ5-KQ7, Graham is 43-44 years old. Mask of Eternity takes place around 5 years after KQ7.
When they named the game they should have skipped the 8. That way it would be clear that is part of the kings quest universe and a stand alone, then noone would have been so pissed. This was the first KQ game i played so i loved it, my brother and i still say when we cant reach something: Tis beyond my reach!

@Gianthogweed From what I've read it seems like ONLY virtual machines of some sort - and ones that support DirectX at that - will get the game running on a system past Windows XP. (There is literally NOTHING that supports otherwise - even Google wasn't helpful in this respect.)

Ah, and about the main character in this game ... I discovered there's mention about a "Connor" in one of the visions of the future in King's Quest I. Apparently, all Graham's children moved out to other countries/worlds when marrying, which leaves no heir to the throne for Daventry. Connor here is supposed to become Graham's successor.
Actually those flashbacks were retroactively added by the people who did the excellent remake of King's Quest II. The original seven games had no mention of Connor and we're really just trying to forget this "Bad omen."
The game is made by Sierra Studios hence the logo yet the video capture program that the uploader used for this video is called Cam Studio. Two completely different things.
Um yes... I was addressing the part where he says he can't remember what Sierra was called at the time, while the logo is right there in front of him.
oh another game i love is diablo 2 lord of destruction, but I've seen sneek peeks of diablo 3, and it looks terrable! and the first diablo and an expanstion, that was made by sierra inc.! not blizzard inc!
Part of my childhood. I was a bit scared that everyone turned to stone.

This game worked best if you had a 3dfx card and were using windows 95 or 98. The graphics looked a lot better and it was less choppy. It's a shame because the game doesn't work at all on windows 7 64 bit edition, I tried running it the other day. It might work good in vmware, but I never tried it.
