@fancythathat An oversimplification for the layman. Scientists, cox included, would concede that science simply creates models which describe, to varying degrees of success, reality. Nobody in the scientific community is claiming to have a complete grasp on truth. The thing is, that idea is so unanimous in science that there's no point reiterating it at every junction. The people he presents to are interested in what science has to say about the universe, not the intracicies of how it says it.
