the upstate new york "accent" (or dialect) is pretty much the same as in connecticut (at least eastern connecticut). P.S. the NYC Queens accent is actually a brooklyn or bronx dialect. I Manhattan, because there are some many newer people from different states and countries, there is little to no new york accents.
