I have heard that Ms. Price is a little tired of being compared to Loreena McKennitt. I would like her to know that I am a fan of Kate Price and Loreena McKennitt. I finf Ms. Price's voice different but beautiful. Her music is different and each time I listen to it, I like it more. While I understand the comparison... Ms. Price, your music and your incredible voice stand on their own....as does Ms. Mckennitt's.
-You're absolutely right. How dare I fraudulently list this as 'Kate Price - The Isle of Dreaming' when it's actually 'Kate Price - The Isle of Dreaming'!? It's like the time I went car shopping for a Ford only to find they'd been switched with Toyota's! I have half a mind to sue that Toyota dealer for false advertising. Sadly, it sounds like you have somewhat less than half a mind...
I heard this once, in an hourly radio program here in Phoenix.....several months ago! I liked it so much then that I made note of it (although I thought the announcer said Kay not Kate, so it took some doing to find this). MANY THANKS for posting this!
I've come home. Which is funny because my family comes from El Slavador so I'm Latin/Hispanic from Hispania :P I identify with the Irish, Scottish, Uk,etc. and all things metaphysical. So when I hear this kind of music it reminds me of truly coming home.
That's not strange. There is a lot of Celtic blood in Spain, mostly the north west. Actually the Celts reached Ireland from Galicia :). I'm Spanish (from southern origin though) and I identify with all things celtic too. I even learned to play the bagpipes some time ago.
Beautiful, ethereal, haunting, Celtic sounding,Moroccan or middle Eastern influenced. I love Kate's voice and yet she's only singing in a quarter of this dirge?!
Just out of curiousity, does Kate play any instruments? If so, what does she play? She has a lovely voice also!!!

Check out her web site in the description. I'm sure there's something about it there.

Kate Price has a slavic something to her, though.
