Your kitty is pretty cute. He looks so fluffy, almost more like a stuffed animal. I also thought he was a ragdoll at first, due to how he was lying. So lifeless, and for that long. Is the limpness thing a trait shared between both of these breeds? Or is that just how he is in particular?

@LeksiBean According to an Animal Planet series, Ragdolls are bread from a ferile angora cat and a few siamese breeds. Most ragdolls are colored like a himalayan/siamese cat.

FYI....never, never play w/cat's w/your hand's. It teaches them to bite and scratch when they are older. The habit to teach is play with them w/a toy. You teach them to scratch and bite you. My sister is a vet.....and we have ragdolls.

OMG, that is the cutest thing I've ever seen!!! I use to have a black himalyan persian myself & she use to sleep on her back too. Just too cute!!! I just adopted a flame point ragdoll (so sweet amazing kitten) & I'm hoping he sleeps on his back too. It always makes for surprising fun.

Lot's of you have enquired about what breed he is. He is a registered "seal point chocolate himalayan" - gorgeous cat. He looks very similar to a "ragdoll", but the paws often distinguish them. @tristar1215 Hey there, Ragdolls tend to have shorter hair & often have white tips on their paws. Ragdolls have amazing dispositions as well, very relaxed & friendly. Loki has turned into a big grumpy kitty & his hair often needs to be shaved as it is very long & knots easily. Enjoy your ragdoll.

I've just recently discovered the existence of both of these breeds (read about himalayans while reading about ragdolls, since they can be confused), and I think I remember reading that.

He is a "seal point himalayan" aka: "chocolate point". The paws are different from a ragdoll (white tips). We love him, but he has grown into a grumpy fella.... loves us, but hates to be cuddled!

Sorry.. not a ragdoll, siamese or birman... he is a "seal point himalayan" & is registered with the Canadian Feline Association. Ragdoll's tend to have white tips on their toes - gorgeous cats also!

@mclarsa not neccessarily... ragdolls come in the colorpoint variety, mitted variety and bicolor variety. the mitteds have white on their front paws and their back paws are completely white, the colorpoints have colored paws an bicolors should have white paws and bicolors have the inverted V on their face....

this boy could be a seal point ragdoll if he was a ragdoll. lol

The lady that we bought him from has retired... He is a "Seal Point Chocolate Himalayan", usually not too hard to find a breeder.  They are very nice cats!

No he didnt he was young, he ran away and we found him like 4 or 6 days later down by the road and he was just bones. we knew it was him because of his tooth his tooth was a snaggle tooth. (like a fang kinda i guess). and now he is gone because people moe tht part of the yard and now he is everywhere and he is gone. :'(
