@LifeLongGamer if you had to pay for the servers then it wouldn't be free. these guys get donations which will probably pay for it and I suspect that they've already put a lot of their own money into the game. I'm fairly sure that this will be released. so far, they haven't breached Microsoft's game content usage rules. so long as they don't make you pay then there shouldn't be any problems.
As for it coming out on 360, I'm not sure how. Tbh, I'm not that bothered about it coming out on 360.

Hate to rain on the parade but I don't think this is real. The sound track is by Immidiate Music, the modeling controlls are weak, there is no subject matter or context, the texutre maps are terrible on the cityscape, not to mention its clearly out of place goegraphically speaking. The video looks like it took time and effort to make and its done really well for an ameture, but using halo-related models and geometry you can't do it justice.
@Wetter02 exactly, i work with the unreal engine, the texture maps shown in the trailer come pre-loaded with the SDK. heck, even the tree's, water effects and lighting are a pre-loaded asset.

Hate to rain on the parade but I don't think this is real. The sound track is by Immidiate Music, the modeling controlls are weak, there is no subject matter or context, the texutre maps are terrible on the cityscape, not to mention its clearly out of place goegraphically speaking. The video looks like it took time and effort to make and its done really well for an ameture, but using halo-related models and geometry you can't do it justice.

@Wetter02 exactly, i work with the unreal engine, the texture maps shown in the trailer come pre-loaded with the SDK. heck, even the tree's, water effects and lighting are a pre-loaded asset.

that be unreal engine! i can spot the unreal engine from a mile out. why would 343 use epics unreal engine for when it has the choice out of the halo reach engine or the halo trilogy engine? and 343 have way more of a story tease in their trailers then just a group of ODST's staring at a covenant cruiser. this be fake.

@swa1ny so your problem is what? this company is illegally using IP with out the permission of it's creator's and are also using the engine to make a halo game using it's founders main opponents SDK. yeah sure it may become a play for free game, but you still need copyright permission to use the IP which belongs to a different development company. Bungie or 343 will more then likely prosecute if this comes to their direct attention.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure you worked really hard for the game, but the trailer is really uninteresting. Usually trailers are supposed to get you hyped up for the upcoming release, but this one did exactly the opposite. Makes the game look kinda amateurish... Maybe you should've used different footage?
