sega saturn battery replacement

i just bought a saturn and was wondering if i should get the official memory card,memory plus or action replay 4mb plus/3 in 1 witch do you saturn fans recomend?

I have a japanese saturn and can't access the battery. I take off the battery cover and there's a different frame securing the battery. It blocks my finger from taking the battery out. Does anyone else have this problem?

action replay probably 20 to 30 dollars on ebay. Games I would suggest besides what u mentioned are Guardian Heroes, sega rally, daytona usa, loaded, fighters megamix, fighting vipers. Guardian heroes can cost about 100 bucks and Radiant silvergun is about 200 bucks. Also if u want to go for gold Panzer dragoon saga is really expensive but check out Panzer dragoon zwei it is good as well.

Hey Sega Saturn Homies, I just got my Sega Saturn I just to play one when I was little and it fucking rules, anyhow, talking about the memory card, should I get the Offical Memory Card for the Sega Saturn or the Memory Card Plus, I heard that the Offical Memory Card lets you save the game while in play, while the Memory Card Plus, only lets you transfer.... Is that correct? and plus which memory card lets you play Japanese Games?

@PierreDeMinuit i just have the memory card plus so i never had the official memory card i just transfer from the battery to the memory card. U need to get a Action Replay Cart to play import games on your saturn.

How do you change the battery without breaking the system? Because I think I broke my previous Saturn while changing the battery, because it would turn on, but all I got was a black screen and nothing else, and I had to hunt down a new one.

Hey i just checked out your Video and your a life saver i just dusted off my Saturn and it kept asking me for the time and date and i happen to have 2 extra CR2032 watch batters and now its holding the time and saves thanks :D

im not sure but its worth a shot to replace battery if u have to set the time when u start system then the battery is dead and needs to be replaced.

So yes can some one please help me I have an American Saturn and I keep having this problem I have a sega brand ram cart and I can save quake one or two times and then I have to start over again what is the deal do i need to replace the battery do i have a messed up system

i did this with my sega saturn and for some reason it still will not save, its the right battery and everything and i put it in correctly. I still have to set the time and date and it will not save anything D= someone help lol

that battery might only work on us model saturns. but im not sure

im not sure i would only do it if your battery is dead but i would get a memory cart to back up saves before it goes dead

you can remove/change the battery with the console turned on no problem, this way you don't lose your saves ;)

Just got my Saturn, thanks for this vid.

Mod that Agetec stick, throw some a JLF and some OSBF's in there, all you need is a dremel. I just finished mine.

yes you set it once and then it will save it.
