how did you get to it in time? When i try to fallow it, using the marking map app, the soonest i get near the area, he goes to a different area, and if i wait, nothing happens, but as soon as i start to fallow him, he goes away, he doesn't stay in one spot no matter what, wtf?

You don't need to have azelf, mespirit, and uxie to catch dialga or palkia, I caught dialga before azelf, uxie, and mespirit.

UM anyone watching this to make things easier for you, catch a haunter or a zubat on victory road which they will have mean look and be sure to have the poke with mean look to atleast lvl 45 or more so its speed is better then mesprits so you can use mean look before her. her average speed is between 83-120 I think ans thats counting nature as well. so yea just kill allot of magikarps or use the Carbos to raise the speed on your mean look poke.

better then chasing all over. lots of potion too

@Taig9 Hmmm...well yes, it's because mesprit's speed is very high. Even faster than the legendary birds I think. I caught it without damaging it at all. I'm just saying that I just kept looking for it then kept throwing quick balls and dusk balls if at night. Then if you're lucky, you could just catch it even without damage at all. I caught mesprit with a dusk ball at night. I also got shocked when I saw the ball rolled like 3 times then I just got it. So my opinion is just to keep trying.

@robo30000 It's better if you use quick balls and dusk balls if it's night. I usually try to catch them if it's night. Just use quick balls, I got aricuno and zapdos in a quick ball and mesprit with a dusk ball. But I still can't catch moltres but I'm still trying.

Uh, besides using 20 + US dollars to get action replay and get a crapload of masterballs just to catch it, can anyone tell me how to get Mesprit in less than 50 or so encounters? I've used over 30000 money on capsules trying to catch this thing? I've wasted at least 150 balls trying to.

its called the marker map. you get it from the poketech company in jubilife city at some point in the game

Golbat learns mean look at like lvl 31-33 im not sure but his speed would be to slow to cast mean look before mespirit does any move

evolving it into crobat and giving it quick claw solves that problem, well unless you feel like ev training a golbat to just do that, other then that your right, its speed is to slow before hand

i could tell you a trick... go to solaceon town and walk in and out of the city ... look closeley at the map and when mesprit comes... catch it... make sure you have mean look and even if you do... it still escapes sometimes... hope i helped

this is what i did, i weakened mesprit to red and put it to sleep. then i caught a gastly with mean look at the old chateau and used mean look on mesprit. then i only used like 4 timer balls...
