  • the best band of the world!

  • Haha I'm back. I love these guys, can't wait to see them on my bday!!

  • Hey Irish people have good rhythm, listen to their clapping!

  • @shewolf418

Uggh, they are not even clapping in the right tempo. I wish people wouldn't clap during songs like this. It's not a song about a party.

  • @aerosnowu2 Bono's always said Irish people have no rhythm. He even loses it at 3:15.

  • This hatred will get us no place...

  • It would have been my wedding song/dance, if it was around in 1970.

  • Son: daddy why am i crying?

Dad: that my boy is U2

  • love

  • this was the best ever late late show - absolutely devastating. The Coors did a version of Everybodys Hurts which I would to see uploaded - the raw emotion of it was extraordinary.

  • one of the best love songs ever made!

  • hi are there anymore songs from this concert available?

  • To siobanphotogirl!I dunno who posted the comment below under my username but I was not 16 when the bombing happened, I had actually just finished playing an under 14 football match in omagh so whoever the hacking cunt is that left the comment, get a life and quit hacking youtube accounts to leave insignificant stupid msgs!!

  • Remember seeing the newsflash and watching the terrible events in Omagh on that Saturday afternoon. The woman staggering about with blood all over her face, and the young man killed just because he'd gone out to buy a new pair of shoes. Everyone in Britain and Ireland were outraged. Think there was almost a riot/lynching in Dundalk when nearly the whole town turned out and demonstrated outside the suspected bombers house: That they were never criminally convicted for murder is a travesty.

  • 4:32 haha after the edge doesn't know wat to do

  • VOCÊ DIZ QUE SEU AMOR DÊ CERTO...

  • I was 16 and waiting for my GCSE results when the bombing happened. I didn't get them (my results) until they lifted the police cordon sealing off the most part of the town four days later. People who still think this 'us vs them' bullshit is worth it has never experienced this kind of loss.

  • @kevyh1 GCSE results........ kinda trivial compared to 29 innocent lives lost and several more injured, isn't it? maybe you didn't mean to sound so bitter about not being able to get your results for 4 days because of the stupid bombing and awful tragedy, but you certainly do make it out to sound all about that rather than the heinous act that was carried out that day.

  • As a half Irish half British Catholic all you bigots make me ashamed

  • i wonder how much bono charged for this he.s a creep grabbing fame from the misery of the north

  • Nothing of this would be necessary if the Brits only got the fuckin off Northern Ireland...

  • @fernandomullen whther the brits were there or not, this wasnt necessary

  • I left N.Ireland to get away from haters like you lot. You will fight on until the world ends, PATHETIC!!

  • @keepulsterbritish u fuckin twat, how can u keep it british wen it wasnt british in the first place, fuck off over to britain if u like it so much u orange cunt

  • Hey Bono, go fuck yourself you Eugenicist bastard!

  • Comment removed

  • @MrKrypton88 - Aho we have a lively one here. Don't know which of us are on the oul e-tabs judging from your spelling. I don't suppose ur sitting there swigging on some form of intoxicating liqueur or cheap larger while ur firing of accusations implying the use of such e-tabs being a bad thing?

"bet you dont even have job.....lowlfe waste of spunk" great line, though you are again contradicting urself, when it's blatantly obvious (judging from ur grammar), that my job is much better than ur's!

  • @TyroneJacker ........ IDIOT!!!..

  • @SquareHedd I'm no Dubliner but I can tell you were U2 live-USA. I would also like to say that Bono looks nothing like Elvis Costello but an awful lot like Roy Orbison (though he possesses none of his talent).

  • @widlad7 hahaha fucking fool. U2 have homes in Ireland and the South of France. So they do in FACT live in Ireland. Yes Bono has a place in New York but so fucking what. I´m sure if you had the funds you would as well you misreable prick.

  • @Hallucination Just the kind of response I would expect from a retard!

  • well obvs hes not cos he wud of been christian enough to shake the edges hand, prob never listened to a U2 song, soz to go on but my higher power is U2, "i dont know u, but u dont no the half of it"

  • Gay byrne is bigger then jesus in ireland

  • Best and My most Fav Band in the World. Almoste every song they write is a work of art and statement about things that matter in life. Love this band. Love their sounds. Love that they still believe in God. Love that they can write songs that are beautiful to listen to time and time again.

  • I love this song. I love this band. I love Ireland!

  • Best....band....in the world!!!

Adam is way cool he is almost not white...*in other words he is as cool as a black dude, and he can't get any cooler lol*

  • damn that dude totally left Edge hangin

  • in 2:22 : .... you say you want, to find some peace,

you just want to see her face,

and this hatred will get us no place....

  • such an idiot--nobody would dare this!!!!It is THE EDGE and I think everyone would do everything to shake this hand....

  • Yeah shut up and chill to the music.

  • Brilliant !

  • 3:47 - Edge is awesome, his voice is always perfect!

  • This show also contains THE COORS singing "Everybody Hurts". I wish someone would post it because its the most devasting version of the song ever recorded

  • cant believe this muppet irish presenter, did you see him put his hand out to shake the edges hand then he pulled it away, 4.31, what an insult, if that happened here in liverpool, he wouldnt have a hand left.....soz just gutted :(

  • ha...had to look at that...he actually raise his hand, first to the left and then to the right...not a hand shake...but your right, gay byrne is a muppet

  • Bono actually does live in Dublin

On RTE2fm, once he rang up to a show and was talking to them, as he left his daughter off to school :)

  • He lives in Dublin. Howth to be exact, North of Dublin, also has a home in Bray, on the beach south of Dublin. The Hewson family goes to school in Dublin (all the kids). Owns a Hotel (the Clarence) a restaurant/pub (the Purdy Kitchen "where the purdy people go" ) in Dublin. Owns a big piece of the Docklands where he wants to build the tallest building in Ireland (the U2 Tower).

Owns an apartment in New York...

Are you SURE he lives in new york?

  • Comment removed

  • think he has fecked off outa ireland, lol

  • whats it got to do with bono he lives in ireland

  • awsome

  • ummm...Bono is Catholic...not christian...thank you.

  • Check your facts, Bono is no Catholic!!

  • He is catholic..at least half catholic..he proclaimed so himself...and more than the religion, he doesnt all declare that he is because his mom is a protestant and he doesnt like the idea of people warring, particularly, protestants and catholics, in his native Ireland...he wrote the Streets Have no Name and Sunday Bloody Sunday to reflect his views...watch him in his concerts, and you can actually see the rosary he wears...a rosary given to him by Pope John Paul II....

  • So Catholics are "not-Christian". LOL. You biggoted Prod cunt.

Besides, Bono is not Catholic anyway. Hi father was Catholic. His mother was Protestant, and he and his borther were raised Protestant.

  • @EmitFlestiKY

Why be part of such tribal bullshit?

A United Ireland will be an Atheist Ireland

  • catholic is christian duhh lmao

  • how can you be a non religious christian when christianity IS a religion......u dope head...

  • such a beautiful song! Of course Bono is religious, look at the lyrics of their songs..

love it, thnx for posting! =D

  • He's a strong christian, you hear it in all of his lyrics, it's awesome !

  • bono looks kinda freaky on this.' but you know how i feel its all the same'

  • "and this hatred will get us no place"

regardless of who's right, who's wrong, is it possible to let go of multilateral hate aggression and make a better future?

  • its a feckin nice tune.end.

  • i cant believe sum of the comments i am reading!!it seems that no matter wat SINN FEAN/IRA have done over the years they will still have the same twats blaming the british government, always an eazy escape for all them murduring basterds, they murdered ther own for the so called struggle, makes me sick!!!

  • Great video, anybody can help me to find out which chords are they using? I don't know Bono's, and I think Edge uses A and D but I'm pretty sure he does one more... Any thoughts?

  • junachopeo. There are only three chords used. Edge is using his delay pedal so everything is coming back at least once again - you get the impression he is playing twice what he is actually playing. The main thrust of the song is A and D on the open scale, and on the 'all the promises' bit the chord changes to F sharp minor on the saying of the word 'promises', then it drops back to alternating between A and D (open) again. Quite a simple song. Sounds nice on an acoustic guitar aswell.

  • Its sick that the IRA used the innocent areas, never affected by the troubles to get attention and its disgraceful that the PSNI (RUC at the time) never got the area cleared! The same happened in Enniskillen in 1987 and not so long after Omagh in my home town Irvinestown! Luckily no-one was hurt in that one! But lets not forget the people who have lost their loved ones! I will never forgive the IRA or the Britsih government! Maggie Thatcher the twat faced cunt!

  • o love you u2.......bono you get respect from me and all in omaghxxxxx

  • you people are sick in the head compairing atrocities, does it matter were they may of happened? think of those families who have lost their loved ones, the injured and all the communities.everyone pays tribute in in their own way. i will pray for you sick norrow minded, ignorant, mindless people,i just hope you will never have to deal with any of the feelings and the pain the families are dealing with now and in the future. may the 31 people lost - rest in peacexxx

  • Hay Curr777 so you live there still?? i lived in the army camp at the time soo...dont know if you will know me...and i was 8 at the time...still remember evey thing...so...chin up curr777 =)

  • Rouge011

    Go boil your head please

  • If you played this song in Gough Barracks or Castlereagh you could get people to sign statements to things they never did, it is woeful.

  • I hate bono, you would think that the worst atrocity of the troubles[dublin and monaghan] didnt happen, you lot are pro british and selective about grief.

  • Too right. People always talk abou the IRA killing but never da UDA, UVF, etc.

  • Excactly, but that would piss off the loyalist dublin westbrits who never gave a fuck about their own getting bombed by their affiliates from england, Gay byrne and u2 are sycophantic bastards.

  • Fair play rogue011 iam also higly insulted by that mindless comment today of all days !! Being from Armagh im well aware of the sufferings of the troubles im finds with all sides of the community and only through respecting and understanding each other ho the hell are we ever expected to move on ! so if people epecially mindles ones have anything in them deep down please be respecful of the 31 victims their family relatives and friends and all those affected by this atrocity ! God Bless You All

  • efexor1 I find that comment highly offencive I myself live in omagh and we only get the attion because so many of are people where killed from all walks of life, and its not only omagh bomb victims that live in the town, Im sure none of us want this attion we would rather have are loved ones back we take no joy in remembering the events of this day ten years ago so why don't you keep your silly ignorant comments to yourself

  • If you are going to leave comments on my channel, please be more respectful and sensitive to others.

  • @efexor1 two babies and other children dying hasnt the monopoly on suffering? well fuck you if thats what you think.we are well aware that others died during the troubles but you are the one who came onto this video

  • His wife is so blessed to have him for a husband :D

He is Christian and I pray in Jesus name that Paul Hewson (Bono) keeps the gospel faith close to his heart. The world cause of the evil one is a place of doubt and despair, but Paul is a light and will continue to be so as long as God wills, and I'm sure God loves him...

  • Bono isnt a christian, He is a Protestant, The Edge and larry are Christians

  • protestants are christians 2 mate! lol

bonos dad was RC nd his mum was a church of ireland anglican but bono chose 2 follow the anglican religion with his mum nd older brother. but he is still christian!

  • religion is stupid anyway imo. i'm surpised bono has religious beliefs.

  • your right...religion is stupid. Im a Christian and not religious. Bono certainly isnt religious, hes a Christian

  • the troubles had nothing to do with religion.

  • i know. as far as i remember that was the way the british media portrayed it, but i still find religion stupid, no problem with people believing but it should be completely personal and have no influence.

  • then why are you saying that on an Omagh video? just out of curiosity.

  • I still haven't found what i am looking for but i will never forget you

  • big memorys with this music Natascha we finish but you always will be in my mind

  • Outstanding, this performance is world class.

  • u heard wrong buddy

  • RIRA and CIRA are the scum of the earth...Tho im not so sure about MI5/RUC on that day, they had adequate time toclear the area

  • They didn't have time, the warnings of "the bomb is on the high street" were completely confusing. There was no high street at the time and they wanted the police to evacuate the people into the bomb area.

A final note, do not even consider having a go at me because I have people close to my heart who were hurt in this bomb.

  • Well if thats the case the prosecution/state were appalling considering the evidence was tampered with..The wrong guy could have went down for a very long time..There is something fishy about Omagh..Everyone knows who done it yet they cant be brought to justice...

  • Typical tactic, confusing warnings.. The IRA are the scummiest of the scum.. I hope your friend or family weren't badly hurt mate

  • I was 18 when Omagh happened. I believe hat was the day when even the hardest republican or loyalist said Enough is enough.

  • hahaha,a handshake for the edge xD

  • wondefull song!!!! so beautiful !

  • Omagh is where i grew up, lovely little town

  • Hey, Bono turned into Roy Orbison....cool!

  • The news today brings back bad memories. My thoughts are also with the families of the victims.

  • makes you think alot. My feelings towards the 29 dead and their families.

  • hahaha poor Edge, he didn't recieve handshake...

  • Oh! Ive been told off the diaspora!

Have a sense of humour ye dry gail

  • You can write music that fans will love but ye cant build a hotel can ye. Aaah! lol

World famous guitar player but ye cant get permission to build a shed in your back garden. Aaah!

Great band, great vid but theyre far to rich not to laugh at hehe

  • twat

  • thats ardri79 thats the twat not bono! AMAZING BAND,AMAZING MUSIC AND AMAZING VOCALS

  • The beauty of u2's music is the simplicity;

    rip the victims.

    god bless them.

  • I can't believe that was 9 years ago.

  • There's no word to describe. Perfect is very little. U2 knows like no one else how to express what love is.

  • Edge got duped by the handshake at 4:32.

  • class!!!!!

  • past, present and future u2's music will live for eternity....timeless and perfect!

  • I remember this well as a huge u2 fan from Omagh. I was 13 when this was on tv seems like yesterday. it was a late late show special for the victims of the omagh bomb. i recall larry donated a harley davidson motorbike to one of the victims and noel gallagher of oasis donated the gold record and original tape recordings of wonderwall. it was extremely sad at times to watch this and see people you know in the audience.

  • U2 es impresionante de todaqs formas

    I love this upload

  • Edge was SHUTDOWN!!!

  • Thanks for the upload. Wondering if you have Bob Geldof's comments or performance from the end of that same show. Would much appreciate an upload!

  • Edge thinks he's gonna get a handshake!! HAHA

  • haha edge makes me laugh!! =D

  • I fucking love this video! Yeah, thanx for the upload!

  • thnx for this upload
