sounds more like a cover of nouvelle vague. and a pretty good one. you dont have to scream in agony all the time to express his emotion - i have 40 of his cds (w out-takes etc), and to me this sound is consistent with his song. not that this intellectualizing matters - i liked listening to it. the trumpet was a nice touch. hard to believe robert smith would disapprove. people who dont like experimentation dont deserve to hear the cure in the first place.
