  • I gave a pomegranate tree in my backyard . It's tons faster if u just make a small cut with a knife and rip the palmagranet In half, and all the seeds fall out.

  • I'm eating one rite now its not really ripe

  • the easiest way, I swear: cut the fruit in half; take one half in the palm of your hand, upside down; place your hand over a bowl; grab a ladle or a big spoon; whilte rotating the pomegranate in your hand beat it with a spoon. Have no mercy! You are done in 10-15 seconds. Just pick up the odd white stuff.

  • AHHH this is torture! I just ate the last one last night and now I want another one! Thats

the way I peel mine too,and then I eat them

    with a spoon...:)

  • mmm i'm eating some now!!!! wooooo

  • This method is way too time consuming, and messy. The water bowl method is much faster. I peeled one in less than 5 minutes with the water bowl method.

  • its a pain in the ass, but hey, i'm okay with a pain in the ass =D

  • i ate one an hour ago

  • me too. :D

  • i am from iran, and pomegranate is favorite fruit of mine, you can rub the skin of a pomegranate i mean push it slowly with your finger tips till it get soft then make a small hole with your teeth on its skin then suck it through, its called "ablamoo kardan" in persian

  • I HEART POMEGRANATES!!!!!!!!!!!! but apparently i cant spell tht right!

  • i <3 pomegranates...is the right way

  • pomegranite is my fravorite fruit!

  • i did 4...the first one was a mess! i wish i watched this before i did it LOL

  • Im allergic to them :( ended up in hospital last time I ate one, now they put them in wine/shampoo/perfume so Ive got to watch everything now LOL

  • soz I just thumbs downed you by accident!

  • i just had a pomegranate. they are so good. thanks for the vid!

  • The Fun Part Is The Effort To Get Each Seed Individually, Peeling The Inner Skins Off TO GEt So more After One Layer Is Gone, Atleast Thats What I Like About Eating Them. =D

  • isnt it easier to make a little slit and then split it in two pieces..it is much more easier. :)

and its also fun because you still get to peel it

  • nice peeling, I just had one and it was light on the outside but on the inside was dark and really ripe so good

  • Gah I had one of those a couple of days ago. I don't think I'd ever seen seeds so red. They were delicious.

  • lol that's what i do! and rarely any gets popped :) love it!

  • That is _way_ too much work! See my video response...

  • The thing about it is, is that I LOVE to do it this way. Its fun, its relaxing, and I like having to work to get my favorite seasonal yummy. Peeling it is one of the main reasons why I love pomegranate season.

  • by the time you have peeled that iv eaten 6, u mite as well just eat it normally and let the juices flow.

  • I enjoy peeling them as much as I enjoy eating them. Its all part of the pom experience for me.

  • Theres a much easier way.

All you need is one large bowl full of water. Put the entire thing under the water and peal the seeds from the pulp while underwater. The pulp floats and the seeds sink. Then scoop off the pulp, empty the water and enjoy the seeds. Takes alike 3 minutes to do.

  • But it isn't fun at all. :(

  • agree :) when you socialize with friends you can peel and eat with them haha

  • mmmmmmmmm :P

thanks for the lesson, i didnt have a clue how to eat the stupid fruit without making such a mess.

  • I'll just stick to an apple.

  • I just use the knife to cut a gap in the top and not INTO the fruit, then I peel it like that. I don't like busted seeds, and I LOVE pomegranate. AMAZING fruit, full of rich antioxidants and intense goodness, lol, yes, yes I DO love pomegranates.. can't yah tell? OBSESSED is more like it.

  • You make it look so easy. I haven't had one of those since I left Southern California in the early 80s.

  • Neat, neat.

  • ZING! Those are flippin' fantastic peeling skills! I did need the lesson, too. I've always used a knife and it makes a huge mess.
