  • i have a dean markley RM -80- DR hybrid. it has 1 12ax7 preamp tube. 2 channels with an FET switch on the clean channel. and yes, it is awesome for blues. it has been my main practice amp and small gig amp since i bought it new in 1983. i would rather have a peavey classic 30 for blues but this amp goes from sparkling clean to metal and has been dependable.

  • Play the fuckin' thing

  • Produced 1985-86

  • This guy is a JMF Spectra 120-T. Markley bought the company after this amp was made. these were put out in the early 80's before the company changed hands.

  • I have the jmf spectra 30 t. Dean Markly bought out jmf in the 80s I think and continued the spectra series for a while and yeah so just keep it in good condition

  • I have several Dean Markley amps from the 80's: an RM-40-SR 1x12 hybrid combo, an RM-150-DR 1x12 hybrid combo, a CD100 2x12 all-tube combo, and a Signature Series 60 all-tube head. I also had a Spectra 125 1x12 SS combo. I understand that the one I had was of a different series than the Markley Spectra amps, manufactured in a different plant. It was one of the best sounding amps I have ever owned, even counting the tube amps. I lost it in a house fire. Still crying over it twenty years later!

  • Now here's the real question: Is it good for metal?

  • @FotecVideoVault
