I like to think of this game as being made to be the exact opposite of Donkey Kong Country. DKC starred two animals, and they fought other animals in beautiful environments commonly seen by man- forests, jungles, mountains, etc.- and with high-quality music that sound almost like real instruments. Vectorman, meanwhile, is set in a very unfamiliar sci-fi world, with robots, high-tech equipment, and laser guns, with an intense techno soundtrack. The two games complement each other nicely.
