  • I love love love the taste of it. I take it 3 teaspoons a day and surprisingly I been feeling lighter. It tastes just like coconut candy :)

  • One of the things that causes thyroid problems in dogs is FLUORIDE in the water as it does with us. !! Toxic to every living thing. NOT good for the teeth as the propaganda would have everybody believe.

  • the coconut liquid in that picture look like milk colour? last time i opened a coconut its liquid was clear like water.

  • I think the coconut milk they're talking about is the water mixed with coconut meat and then filtered.

  • @TheCharleycat Yes it is white colored powder like when is cold ..I owned a 16oz of extra virgin coconut oil it olny turns clear when the surrounding is hot enough to make it melt.even tho when it turns back white it still works like a miracle I love it and will continue use for weight loss and occasional tanning =) hope it helps chao.

  • @TheCharleycat It's coconut OIL pressed from the coconut MEAT, it's not the coconut WATER that is clear that comes out when you open a coconut.

  • yes but not all is grown harvested or produced in the same ways are others. It must be grown organically and never exposed to chemicals or heat for extraction. it is plain simple and good for you vs "palm" or commercially treated coconut or any oils for that matter. check it out read up on it, be sure you are eating the best otherwise it could be hard on your liver.

  • In my country we used to make coconute oil for cooking use, we can only make about 1 to 2 oz from each coconute. And we don't have time to go through all the pelling off coconute,that's why we cook with coconute cream.

  • Just remember that even the most healthy oil has a very high calorie content. So moderation in all things is the key. (In my opinion.)

  • I agree, and furthermoer, once you cook oil (and this is even more the case for saturated fats, hence their bad reputation) it becomes carcinogenic : don't cook it! use it in smoothies, ice creams and salad dressings!

  • While that's true for other oils, coconut oil is one of the few oils that can withstand heat w/o oxidizing and causing our cells to become rogue (cancerous) within our bodies. I swear this stuff is a mini miracle in a jar. I use coconut oil on my face, hair and body...both externally and internally. I LOVE the stuff.

  • Actually to say that lauric acid destroys the lipid membrane is nearly right but not quite nail on the head. When the human body (and some animals) consume lauric acid (50-55% of coconut oil!) it is converted into monolaurin which in turn destroy the said membrane.   • MarjoryJane is an idiot. Soy is one of the worst things you can eat. The evidence that soy causes cancer is overwhelming. Soy is also harmful to the thyroid gland. Avoid soy products. Linseed oil and hummus will NOT cure cancer. Prevention requires healthy eating practices (a variety of of organic pesticide free colourful fruits and vegetables) as well as healthy meat or other protein sources (nuts, seeds, beans).

  • @evelynjoyce You should research a bit before saying soy causes cancer. Everyone has google now so you can quickly look up that Japan consumes more soy than the U.S. and has a lower cancer rate.

  • all of the indigineous people studied by weston price were meat eaters and ate high levels of saturated fats. Native americans would worry when the fat content of their kill was too low; they knew illness would follow. The key point to remember is that the pathway coconut oil's take is different: it is processed directly by the liver and turned into ENERGY.
