  • Awesome! Such a full rich sound! Great Band!

Do you have "There's A New Day Coming" by "The Bohemian Band?"

  • great version ,early billy cotton very cool .

  • my grandad played guitar in billy cottons band, Frankie King not sure if he was on this recording, cool

  • I love that song!!!

  • Beautiful!

  • I just love this. What a beautiful phonograph. Is that an HMV?

  • Yes-an "orthophonic"as a few people have informed me.I believe in the USA,HMV was "Victor",and the same gramophones(or phonographs)were made there too?

  • No i have not heard that one but know Hal Swains was agreat band. This 78 looks perfect condition wise, and the needle was new,so the actual recording cant have been great. The flip side "Dusky Stevadore"is worse.Surprising as many Picadilly 78s are of very good quality.

  • Some Piccadilly's varied in quality. A lot of the Jock McDermott ones I have are very shushy, however the Howard Godfrey ones sound great. I wonder if it was down to various studios? The vocalist on this recording by the Bohemian band is Cavan O'Connor.

  • Yes, I think the song was featured in ''the Jazz Singer'' starring Al Jolson. This is a lovely version! Have you heard the Hal Swain one? I have it on Regal.

  • "The Singing Fool"

  • Yes ! assuredly, a Jolie song, written in jest, but which became, as always with Jolson, a Number One hit.
