  • WHy are you shaking so much in this video? Just curious.

  • WOW... SSD rocks indeed.

  • Has anyone tried using something like a 32GB SDHC class 10 card as a suplimental storage hard drive on the Dell Mini 9? I have a 32gb SSD card installed but want too load up a few of my old games such as GTA 3 so I would like to use the SDHC card to load the games to so I don't use up my primary hard drive space. A SDHC card fits nice ino the Dell mini 9 without sticking out the side like a USB stick would (what I was originally thinking of using).

  • "Only" trouble is that such an SSD with that format and capacity is nearly as pricey as the netbook itself...

  • you said procent

  • My daughter's Dell mini ( was stolen a few months ago. When I actually got it back the ram and SSD was missing. I replaced the ram with OEM. However I cannot afford another SSD. It originally had a 16g SSD in it. Would anyone be willing to donate one? perhaps from an upgrade. anything to get her up and running again. thanks

  • Welcome to nerdworld(.)com

  • where do you buy the ssd?

  • @GamingGeek97 Runcore (dot) com

  • not a hack its a mod

  • Most of this was over my head :). I have no idea how i got here. But i still like the video. You explain everything you do and you have a calm voice. I'm afraid to open my computer. I don't want to mess anything up :). I know people who do it for me, but maybe it's time i learn something about this...

  • Dell mini 9 is like a hacker's dream pc. Dell mini 9 FTW!

  • That 128GB ssd was like, 299$ us?

  • this was the most useless video ever - complete garbage!!!

  • Viisi sanaa ja kuulee heti että on suomalainen kyseessä :D

  • pci express ssd's are big time better than a sata ssd 's.

  • can the atom processor be replaced with a normal single core processor at like 3.2ghz. the reason i ask is becuase im not shure if the dell mini 9 has a fan and if i replace the atom processor with a normal processor it might overheat?

  • @cjtt2 You can't. I'm sorry.

  • where did you get that ssd?

  • @EggMcMffn MyDigitalDiscount

  • It is risky to work with the grinder on metal, in the vicinity of computer circuits. I hope you kept the PCB and other electronic components away from your workplace. also it is necessary to use a powerful vacuum cleaner in order to absorb the debris during grinding. I remember I had once, to dismantle an entire desktop in order to install a system fan, because I couldn't remove a metal panel from the fan's frame, so I had to cut it off with a jigsaw.

  • Hélooow!

    AShuHAUshuahsu

  • Very good!!!

  • Isn't he risking ruining the circuitry by not grounding himself? I see no mat or wrist strap.

  • I've never shocked my electronics, you should ground yourself but touching the table or the case first should ground you enough...hes not running around so its not like hes going to create much static anyways

  • so if I touch the metal part where the DVD installs in the case I will be grounded ?

  • It depends where you live. If you live in humid countries, and you do not switch on the air conditioner. There is very little chance(if any) that you would get static discharge.

  • How does that CPU stay cool? Only a thermal pad is enough?

  • Vollhonk, ... fasst diese Dinger an, wie ne Stulle von Mama... iddi...

  • if only i had the money to buy all this stuff and play around

  • I met some guys from Hungary & Russia like this in India... they are fearless... to cut-out parts & make it even better! Its so funny!!! I wonder what DELL thinks about this ???

  • Is it possible to do this in the sony tt model

  • Two thumbs up! Thanks for posting!

  • thank you!! YOU ARE AMAMZING!!

    5 stars and subscribed!!!

    very nice video!!!

  • 64g ssd on ebay for sell! ends today check it out . type 64g ssd for the dell mini 9

  • how much would tat ssd cost (in euros)?

  • thermal pads...

  • you sir, are amazing

  • I imagine any tape would work, but if you are worried about heat you might try Teflon tape.

  • You could also consider Kapton tape.

  • hi jkk - love your videos. Question : can you use the faster sata ssd on the dell mini 9? I'm not sure if the interface is pata or sata or if a bios update is required - your input is greatly appreciated. thanks & keep up the great work.

  • sorry, no sata on dell..
