i always wanted to get something pratical and sporty as a daily to compliment my track car which i am daily driving now. First how handling and second is the torque steer bad on the turbo model?
The dealership can void your warranty for anything. But it should not get voided if you replace the air filter for a K & N. I can tell a sound difference. It is more crisp. I can't tell a performance different.
@JPizzlesCobaltSS I'll chime in on this. Let me put it this way, if the dealer is cool, and on your side about shit, they won't void the warranty unless something crazy or expensive breaks. If the dealer is a bunch of pricks, they'll try to void it no matter what the mod is regardless if it has to do with the failed part. continued-
@JPizzlesCobaltSS i own a 2010 ss. and just to let ya know gm has voided warrantys on these cars for just puting the drop in k&n filter in . due to it being an oild filter . so befor u ever get ur car serviced etc to be safe swop it out and remove all traces of oil.
Does you warranty gets voided if you replace the original air filter for the k&N? can u really really tell the difference?? Im planning on getting one also .
just to add what JPizzles was saying and to correct him abit. Yes dealerships can be dicks and void it for stupid stuff however they are only allowed to void the warrenty if whatever is aftermarket causes the issue. I had my reverse lights not come on due to the switch box busted. They first said the warrenty is voided because of my own Stage 2 Kit, CAI, Meth kit, heat exchanger and other parts.
Yes and no, dealerships can be pricks and void it for stupid stuff however they are full of bs. The aftermarket part has to cause the issue. For example. My reverse lights wouldnt come on due to a busted switch box, they said the warrenty is voided because of my own stage 2 kit, meth kit, heat exchanger, CAI, Lowering Springs and other parts. Called bs on it and told them what i know and they used the warrenty.
@JPizzlesCobaltSS - Take my kawasaki ZX6R, when I bought it, I was like I'm gonna put exhaust and a tune on this thing y'all are still going to honor the warranty right? they said yeah ofcourse. I got exhaust, lowered, K&N drop in, sprockets, the whole works. My throttle assembly shits out on me, it's a $1000 part, they got it on in about 4 days and didn't ask any questions about my mods. Depends on entirely on the dealer. These guys were cool and all rode bikes.

widowedeight is right. the ECU limits power to 260 so you can gain better low end performance but your max power without a tune is 260

I think it's a good buy for about $55.00

@JPizzlesCobaltSS that would be because without a tune you never gain any performance
