well it's a little bit faster than how it should be played. But if that's how you want to play it then it's alright. I believe that you did not do this by mistake, you only wanted to play it this way and it did sound good.
not too crappy and can really make a huge difference when u use new equipment. checked out the new one and MY GOD U R A LEGEND! u should make an easy tutorial for this cuz this song is the main reason I wanted to learn piano. Zrob654 u r so right. this song was pretty fast and u seem to have more emotion in ur other vid. btw are u in your pajamas playing and night or is it the camera?
I here by stand in awe at the incredible speed and accuracy (on most occasions). Man, how do you play piano this well?! hmmm, I only have a keyboard that is older than me! Though, I am pretty young, so... still, you are great! Your videos inspired me to give piano another chance, and with your help, I'm getting there! =D
was very nice, maybe a couple of notes off, but who really cares? you made it sound beautiful with the varying tempos (I think that's what you'd call it..?) and did the king of video gaming music proud.
haha and here i'm thinking you only did classical! I always thought this song was beautiful and is one of the reasons I wanted to take up piano! Nothing like a versitile piano player! Two thumbs up Lypur
^_^ i love this song as well, but i never really learned it seriously. My other classical songs have always had to take priority :( but i love uematsu
i recently started playing the keyboard about a week ago never had lessons just started one random day and to zanarkand is one of my favorites. any advice on playing without having lessons?
Practice also makes permanent... make sure you have the right technique - at least thats what its like for guitar, I'm not as good at piano but I should think it's the same as they're both muscle memory.
You know, just because of you I'm going to take my kids to piano lessons. (when I have them)I want them to be extraordinary like you. lol I sound like such a kiss ass, but yeah.. I like piano. I want them to have a talent.
I've never taken any "lessons", and I can't really read sheets, but thanks to piano roll in Music MasterWorks I'm able to play To Zanardkand and a bunch of other songs.
Lypur: I had to check out your "play with two hands" to see if there was a magical thing to learn faster, but I see it's only practice :(
( I usually memorize the right hand first, then add the left hand slowly )
And since you got the skills, you should really look up Younha - Houki Boshi.
nice playing i played the game and beat it by the way. dont want to bother you but theres a song called ai to shuu it is from naruto its a nice song i was wondering if you would look it up its nice.
I have watched several of your piano videos in the last day or two. I like your touch. And how you bring out the melody and use good expression. How long have you played?
good try, would be perfect if u understand the background story of the piece a bit more and made necessary adjustment on the tempo to create the quintessential atmosphere.
Also, it'd be great if u can avoid mistakes as much as u can.
yes, it' the same basic principles, the only thing different on keyboards is the touch. sometimes keyboards don't have dynamic sensitivity so you can't change how the notes sound, they all are the same volume.
i wouldn't doubt the mistakes...when i recorded this, it was a song i knew alot time ago, and i just wanted to throw a recording together since i had everything set up
I want to learn that song so badly!! I love your playing so much!! If you don't mind, how long did it take you to learn this song? --5 stars--*2 thumbs up*
umm, about 3 days when i first learnt it waaaaaaaaaaaay back in grade 8 piano. I stopped playing it for along time, and thought I'd relearn it to for youtube, so when i relearnt it it took me about...2 hours of practice?
That was so fast. It takes me like at least 4 hours to learn a pretty long song. But usually I say a month because I practice half an hour a week and the total hours would be a month. So far, Moonlight Sonata is the hardest I learned. It took me like 6 hours or more to learn the whole song.
yea, it's a pretty nice song ^_^ although, i think the version you're playing is the easy version. The real version is in c# minor, and is 3 pages long, it takes a good 5 minutes to play.
I know. I heard the long version before and I'm guessing, it's going to take me forever to learn it. I just need to get the sheet music for that song.
i have it, it's the full moonlight sonata movment 1, 2 and 3, it looks scary though;) it's a very high level song all together, the first movment is really not THAT hard, it's only about grade 6 level
damn man u r some smooth on that piano i just got a keyboard the other day and im tryin to learn how to play i favorited all the tutorial vids and gonna go through those keep up the good work excellent playing once again
This song makes me cry..reminds me of all those hours i wasted on the game.:p You've played with such passion. Also love the "flourishy hand movements".
mmm...I don't intentionally do this actually, I have tendonitous and if I play to stiff, it hurts, so I just try to relax and let the weight of my arm drop into the keys since, using the muscles hurts the arms /alot/
My poor wording shines through ;) The hand wavey, flicking finger stuffs. I showed this to a friend of mine, whom is a professional pianist, and he does agree. Its kind-of over the top.
