The 'extra' punchiness in my tone is probably due to bright pickups, and a heavy attack.

it's a cool song with cool riffs

im interested in your strings. Are you using as heavy strings as stevie? and if you do, how coluld you set your guitar? I use 0.10 strings, and at my 12th fret my lower strings are about a 10% higher than they should.(i mean in sound) i tried everything with saddles, with neck angle, but it's still there(now it's 'bout 5%). could bigger frets solve the problem?

jus go up one in strings. try .11's. i use them and they feel alot better and have more sustain to them. another thing is it could also be the guitar you have.

I use .11 - .45, D'addario EXL115 Series. I recommend picking the strings you want and having a guitar tech set your guitar up the correct way if possible. It is possible to do some damage to the neck with heavy strings without the right truss rod relief.

Actually the guitar I'm playing during the lesson is the Grosh Retro Classic, the "Legend" is the guitar I'm holding at the beginning, without blue tape.
