i'm not sure who is telling you you cant run 440's. thats what i run and to be honest i'm about to move to 550's so i can turn up the boost.

the miata bottom end will hold till about 250hp before it gives, built motors will hold more but it will depend on your set up how much power is being made 12psi may not beas much power as if he was running a differnt turbo etc

NA Miatas have turbo motors from the factory, just no turbo. 12psi is no problem for an NA

i dyno'd 192hp 186tq to the ground at 14psi, then i went to 18psi on a standalone. never had an issue, and i sold it that way, and i still never died.

i would if i could afford the 1+ thousand dollars it would cost me everytime my supra broke. khs stopper mhg, 1 cp piston and rings, machine work, labor. the miata has about 180k on it now, still no issues.
