Somebody actually got to do that....just imagine! Somebody actually gets to say to their grandchildren: "You know kid, there was a time when grandpa was drivin' around on the moon. No no, i'm serious". Now, that's inspiring beyond belief!
In 2007, Japan sent an orbiter to the Moon to map out the terrain. Take a look at this picture (remove the spaces):
w w w .universetoday. c o m/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/ls15.jpg
The photo on the right was taken by an astronaut on the Moon. The one on the left side is a computer generated image of what the same spot should look like according to the Japanese Kaguya Orbiter. They match up exactly!
Fun fact: The Soviet Union sent unmanned probes to the moon, including rovers.
Correcting for perspective of the panoramas and taking into account these were transmitted while Apollo was film, the images transmitted look like Apollo images of the moon.
mentallandscape*com/C_CatalogMoon*htm
So we do have something to compare Apollo to, and it backs Apollo findings.
@punished1134 Doesn't make much sense to stage 50% and discredit the whole mission when the other 50% is actually genuine. Makes more sense to have 100% genuine footage.
Obviously! They had to go back in the same way, otherwise it would have been very difficult to find the LEM! :D They didn't have GPS or navigator! lol
Apollo 15 is the best mission of all Apollo mission I belief. They landed close to a rima and they venture far, climbing up hill, look at a 2000 m mountain, and looking into an ancient lava channel.
Try taking a video tonight of the night sky. The stars don't show up, but planets that are really bright sometimes do. In films, if they want stars at night, they must be optically added.
Je-ZUS...fijnstein "where are the stars" that's been addressed and explained so many times {since the first mission at the time) that only a retarded idiot would keep bringing it up. Fuckass stupid.
Over the past decade, moonhoax advocates have brought up many intriguing points regarding the Apollo missions to the moon. None of them, however, are indisputable evidence of fraud, and most are misunderstandings of basic physics or mission specifications. Several lines of solid & scientific evidence point to an actual moonlanding. The 880 pounds of moonrocks brought back to earth are the most obvious evidence. More than 30,000 pictures were brought back and hours of video.
Exactly! How the fuck would anyone of these Hoax believing nut-bars even know what the moon is supposed to look like anyway? What are you comparing it to in order to decide that it's fake? Have YOU BEEN TO THE MOON??
casio - do you even notice the speed that the rover is moving at? What do you think, that they shot this is some sound studio that is 20 miles long and 15 miles wide??? Get a clue!
My point wasn't to indicate that the Rover was moving quickly. It was it was the amount of distance traveled in relation to the background and the length of the recording itself. In order for this shot to have been taken in some secret sound stage (as the hoax-tards claim) the said studio would have needed to be about the same size as the one imagined for the movie "The Truman Show." Which also DIDN'T EXIST!
i'm sorry your a weak minded person casio, an ya wewent to the Moon and were going back along with China an Russia. o ya an google is sending a rover to take a pic of the former landing sites

@Neuwert that's because the moon is 1/6 the size of the earth, and as such the horizon appears 6 times closer

Hold on Buddy, how can they be heading back to the LEM following the same tracks, when they are actually heading away from the LEM?

"how can they be heading back to the LEM following the same tracks, when they are actually heading away from the LEM?"
How do you know they are heading away from LEM? Even if they were, why couldn't they be revisiting a site they've already been to?

Because the way there and way back are the same. They simply returned on the same path they approached.

The stars are too dim compared to the landscape for the camera to pick them up.

There were no stars because they landed always in daylight. Because of the shining sun the stars couldnt be detected.
