It is partially punks fault, but the NFL had a huge game last week so that took away a lot of viewers(including me) plus its Christmas time and people are spending time with family. Probably the two biggest problems in the WWE right now are IMO: 1) a face is awesome during its buildup but once it reaches its pinnacle the thing always turns stale. CM Punk's rise was incredible but since he became a top face he's been doing nothing nearly as revolutionary as his rise promised.

@zander9991 CM Punk isnt the reason for the ratings dropping. Ratings for WWE have been dropping since 2002, well before CM Punk was ever signed to WWE. WWE has to take the blame for all of this, but they won't. They'll just blame Punk, Ryder, and Daniel Bryan, yet ignoring that ratings have sucked for WWE all year long.
The Rock, who is arguably one of the biggest draws WWE ever produced, couldn't prevent SSeries from having a horrible buyrate. WWE, as a whole, needs to get better.

Turning Cena heel may add new life to the WWE, but I know that they'll drop the ball on that too. If you ask me, WWE's future doesn't look too good if Creative doesn't get their heads out of their asses and if Vince doesn't step down from making last minute changes single every week.

I agree the ratings are an issue but its a booking issue not any one superstar's issue. People can see where the face title reign is going and they dont like it too prrdictable. Give us an unpredictable heel asap thats just the way it is the heelsake wrestling more interesting

Probably the two biggest problems in the WWE right now are IMO: 1) a face is awesome during its buildup but once it reaches its pinnacle the thing always turns stale. CM Punk's rise was incredible but since he became a top face he's been doing nothing nearly as revolutionary as his rise promised.

This has probably been the first jaydub video I've had to disagree with ... and not really because of jaydub, but the other two. CM Punk's been my #1 since way before "the promo", mostly because the real him has always been there, but contained in the sense that he's not been allowed to run rampage over everybody. I blame the heels, I don't think Del Rio (as much as I love him and Ricardo) has lived up to creative's expectations and is a little too dull.

If that does end up being the case, it may end up turning into something good, but I still don't like the notion that CM Punk can run through the current roster and WWE needs to rely on someone to come from outside of the company and feud with Punk to save the day.
