Skinny Puppy is arguably the greatest goth-industrial band of all time, and they're from Vancouver. OhGr himself is an almost unparalleled artist. Ayria is of course from Toronto but The Birthday Massacre is from that fine city as well. Also Front Line Assembly is Canadian, as xXull already said.

Never under-estimate what Canada has brought to the alternative/industrial scene. We rock, it's true.

This is a bit of a sore spot for me at times, even around here Canada goes under appreciated. I have people around here telling me how little they care for Canadian television, music or politics...I think it's sad.

It's like The Birthday Massacre. They're from Toronto (like Ayria) yet no one around here even seems to know about them (or her). Of couse those same people love all the big American bands!

@8KingFisher yes i try. i don't care much for television(i only watch movies) and politics in general, its really not my thing. but i like whatever music/movies/books that are good(in my opinion) and it doesn't matter to me were they come from. And I'm really hoping that country stereotypes can be proven wrong someday because I'm American and unlike what most people thing the majority of people i know(including myself) are not overweight and hate hamburgers.

@Random71495 In Norway independent film makers produced a film called "The Troll Hunter" the film was released this year (2011) and was well received by audiences and critics around the world.

Hollywood has just claimed that they'll probably be "remaking" the film next year. First problem is WTF!

How dare they! They just want to rip of someones idea for buck. Maybe if they helped the original get American release instead U.S audiences might not mind watching a foreign film...

@Random71495 ...the worst part, the same thing already happened with "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" the year after it's foreign release (to great reception world wide) American producers remade it here and are about to launch their own American version of the movie. It's absolutely disgusting, especially when Hollywood is currently producing a movie made on the board games "monopoly" and "ouija"...seriously, bankrupt for ideas much? oh that's right, they're also doing Troll Hunter! /sarcasm =(

@8KingFisher i had no idea that was happening, i new they made a movie, but I've been trying to get my hands on the books before i attempt watching the movie. The only change I've noticed around here is that all the theatres seemed to be crammed with live action super hero films. i personally think that monopoly was ruined when they made the credit card version, now a movie? v.v the only movie i plan on seeing in theatre is the last installment of Harry Potter. x)

Ever since Marvel took control of their own film production they've done well. So don't knock my superhero movies! oh but surprise, Disney just bought Marvel. Welcome to the system >.<

Harry Potter is my favorite series, I'm really excited to be seeing the midnight showing(I've never done that before xD) and before that were going to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show(YEA), which I'm doubly excited about because 1: it the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW! and 2: It's directed by our old music teacher. (she was my favorite music teacher.)
