Quite a few of those big strikes could have been countered with a quick poke to the chest or face guard

No other staff fighting comes close to JDP, this is by far the best because it removes useless, fancy strikes and concentrates on what really counts in a fight. Anyone who has ever done stick fighting will tell you that most of the fancy strikes go right out the window, and you often fall back on the truly effective strikes, JDP cleans it all up, incorporating lunges, 360% movement, high and low strikes, overhead strikes, and jabs. Very effective and dangerous.
